My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Real name: Christian Giliberto

I'm a bi cis male who is obsessed with learning things. Philosophy (continental, although I started as an analytic philosopher of science) and literature are my specialties, but I'm also interested in everything from evolutionary biology to queer theory to economics. I also really enjoy writing, particularly philosophy and poetry, but I'm interested in learning to do fiction at some point. I'm also very strongly committed to progressive social concerns (feminism, anti-racism, LGBTQ liberation, political/economic egalitarianism, and so on).

I may be passionate about those things, but I at least like to think I'm not dry. I love having a few too many beers and being silly at 3am in the living room, getting way too angry at video games, and sitting on tumblr for hours at a time.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Undergraduate at Sarah Lawrence College. Philosophy is my thing.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Reading more books than is probably good for my eyes, talking too much, and World of Warcraft. A very marketable set of skills.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I have way too much favorite music, way too many favorite books, etc. to possibly choose.

Since books are more central to my live than other forms of media (although music especially is still very important to me) some representative authors might look something like:

Derrida, Nietzsche, Heidegger, Saussure, Wittgenstein, Butler, Marx, Laclau, Rorty, Kant, de Beauvoir, Weeks, Rubin for nonfiction

Joyce, Pynchon, Camus, Woolf, Barnes, Genet, Flaubert, Kafka, Gide, Vidal, Melville, Forster for fiction

Shelley, Keats, Byron, Donne, Shakespeare, Dickinson, Whitman, Auden, Williams, Doty, Baudelaire, de Musset, Gautier, Agbabi, Olds, Glück, O'Hara, Cummings, Myles, Bidart, Heine, Rimbaud for poetry.

Favorite foods are Sushi and French bistro fare. I warn you, I will try to take you out to at least one of those very quickly.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Books, alone time, nights in the woods, coffee, sexuality, and hot showers.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What I'm going to do with my life, too many things are interesting.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Reading, hanging out with friends, or screwing around on the internet. Often at the same time.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
This is difficult since I have no shame.
