My self-summary
personally, i can't live without: quirkiness, spontaneity, curiosity, the beach, wine, movies, music, art, thought, laughter, arguing (healthy debate), adventure, travel

my best traits are: sarcasm (know this now), good old humor, intelligence (although it is a curse), being educated, being a good listener, sincerity, empathy, impatience for the mundane, spontaneity (again), philosophy, financial freedom (which leads to next), flexible schedule, ... you'll have to explore on your own.

I am cynical, heartfelt, and unconstrained
What I’m doing with my life
figuring out that there is an exit to "no exit" and that i am desperately trying to avoid sisyphus.

i've recently sold an internet business that i built and ran for over eight and a half years, and am building another secret venture, going to grad school part-time for psychology and taking photography courses.
I’m really good at
listening; my friends know who to turn to. i have one of those therapeutic voices.

i make a kick-ass cheesecake, but i'll warn you -- no one can move in the house until it's ready... and i only cook gourmet.

-- appearing as if i know how to do the whole wine tasting routine. even after years of practice and visits to wineries, i agree that it's good even if i don't think it's to my liking.
The first things people usually notice about me
i wield a sarcastic tongue and detest clichés.

oh, and the cliché that i'm "tall."
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
i am a junkie of sorts -- music and movies that is. let me put it to you this way, i've watched about 1,900 dvds through netflix and at the cinema. as for music, my taste is all over the place. i like experimenting with different textures of music and turning heads with my playlists.

(a) too many, too many. here is the shortened version... the bell jar, prozac nation, animal farm, macbeth (ok, so it's a play -- give me a break), white noise, god is not great, the diving bell and the butterfly, strange pilgrims, etc., etc., etc.

(b) too many, too many. shortened version... american beauty, requiem for a dream, donnie darko, vanilla sky, the fountain, match point, old boy, sympathy for mr. vengeance, black swan, melancholia, etc., etc.

(c) too much, or to many. i am not sure if we are talking about genres or specific bands or groups. let's just say that as of september 2011, i have over 13,500 in itunes and i have a strong dislike for reggae (because it seems to never end during certain "states of mind") and country (although, i've been known to succumb to a tune or two); so that leads me to the entire spectrum of loving EVERYTHING else.

(d) SUSHI -- know this now -- it's a staple. i travel the world with my cuisine. some favorites or exotic are: argentine, peruvian, burmese, tapas, etc., etc.
The six things I could never do without
in the u.s., we have no idea how good we have it. you learn this when you travel. so, i've changed my list:

- drinkable water
- plumbing, which also includes hot water for short periods of time
- company, even though there are times when i enjoy being alone, there are times when i need comfort
- food
- shelter

you can find everything else you need in life...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
how the hell i got to own my own business with bare bones, bring it to success, then sell it... and where my next travel excursion will be.

i ponder philosophy, existentialism, the myth of sisyphus, camus, satre, nietzsche, plato, nihilism, and why pluto is no longer a planet.
On a typical Friday night I am
Living a chaotic schedule as i do, leaves me with no particular days of the week. Remind me when Friday is again?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
On the dark side, I have been described as a passive-aggressive sadomasochist.

Kidding, kidding... right??

I lust for travel, and do so no matter the cost. Experiences are more meaningful to me than tangible gifts.
