My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
White male, 30-35, 6'2".. no - 6'3", green eyes, Pulitzer prize-winning author, into Kierkegaard, Mahler, Joan Didion, and sex, seeks similar-minded attractive female for unique encounters. Sense of humor a must.

Wait, no, that's a line from a show. Crap.

White male, 25-30, 6', brown eyes, hopeless romantic, into Star Wars, Billy Joel, motorcycles, and sleep, seeks similar-minded attractive female for lazy evenings. Sense of humor a must.

That's more like it. That's what theater does to you.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work as a legal assistant at a law office in Portland, doing employment discrimination, civil rights, and family law.

Many weekends, I can be found volunteering for the Pokemon Company International as an event organizer and staff. I travel around the country working events, with trips including Indiana, BC, Utah, Arizona, D.C., and more.

I also do live theater - occasionally I'll act, but my inability to sing leaves me backstage much of the time as a stage manager.

I tend to use what little free time I have to play video games or read.

I also just went from a very serious caffeine addiction to cutting it (and soda in general) out of my diet entirely overnight. My body is protesting, but it'll be worth it right?
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm a World Championship level Pokemon Judge (referee), so there's that.

Mostly I'm decent at lots of things. I've worked at Intel, as a general contractor, now at a law firm with a side of childcare. I've studied history, teaching, computer science, acting, and the law. I've stage managed theater, tap danced on stage, been a sportscaster, and played in monopoly tournaments. I'm a jack of many trades.

Though I've been told I give the best hugs, but that's for others to judge.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm pretty sure there's a perception filter on me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books - Sci-fi and fantasy - Timothy Zhan, Aaron Allston (rest in peace, knowing you won't have to see the mess Disney is making), Tolkein, Rowling, etc.

Movies - A little of everything; I love romcoms, Sci-fi, Fantasy, action/adventure, etc. Not a huge horror fan. Favorites are The Princess Bride, Crazy Stupid Love, all three Star Wars movies, and Sneakers.

Shows - Doctor Who, Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek, Coupling, NCIS. I am of the opinion that The West Wing is the best thing to have ever been on television.

Music - Billy Joel, Emilie Autumn, Sting, Apocalyptica; my musical tastes are extremely eclectic.

Food - Mexican, Asian. Panda Express is my comfort food, and Shrimp are heavenly.

Video Games - League of Legends; Final Fantasy Tactics, IX, and X in that order; Pokemon.

Pokemon - Shuckle and Umbreon. Yup, I'm shameless.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Internet, Caffeine (and yet...), Cuddles, Pokemon, Sci-Fi, and Socks are all jumbled up after the basic "food, water, shelter" that make for a boring answer despite being true.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Just got home from a trip to D.C. for the Pokemon World Championships, which started two days after closing my last theatrical production, and jumped right into house sitting for a month for a friend and her cats... I don't remember what I do on typical Fridays...

Next Friday (12/12 and 12/13) is Twilight Theater Company's The Eight: Reindeer Monologues. If you want an evening filled with some VERY adult humor about Mr. Claus, come see us!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My name is buried in my profile somewhere, but you won't find it.

Hrm... I suffer from resting bitch face, married my sister a couple years back, and once fell on my ass on stage in front of 200 people. Well, 200 people know that one...

I guess this one is a surprise - I don't have a Netflix account.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
If you want to geek out, cuddle, ride, watch Doctor Who, or have a Nerf war.

Or, after all this, you maybe want to go on a date. That would be cool too.

Mad props if you know who was being described at the beginning of my profile, and you made it far enough to know I'm giving out said props.
