I run a small business, once patrolled the streets of NY as an EMT and served one year in Iraq.

I'm big on personal fitness and serving in the non-profit world.

I found the Veteran's club at my university and fairly travelled to advocate for veterans. Just a few units shy of graduating from UC Irvine in Sociology (I'm interested in nerdy social science stuff like tribal behavior and implications over large swaths of society).

I make a pretty tidy living in Los Angeles with my wife. I'm just here to meet new and cool people.

I'm a professional glamour and wedding photographer. I do it because I love creating art for happy people!

I have my life together, I like to surround myself with others who are the same.

When I get the chance to return to school, I'll be applying to a sociology PhD program. My interest are in topics within military sociology (yes, I know you're VERY interested in that). I'm a little slow in finishing my undergrad because I took time to serve in the Army and take care of my family. My education is very important to me, and discounting any acknowledged or unacknowledged hubris, I find the pursuit of an advanced degree satisfying.

Finding my way around. I'm seldom lost. I can talk to anyone, anywhere, any age, any background. I read fast. I can stop bleeding, stabilize fractures, give mouth to mouth CPR and doing basic medical diagnosis. Running a small business. Also, I'm good at being a nice person :) Annnndd I'm pretty AWFUL in bed.

My smile, and my very hearty laugh. Sometimes when I walk into a room, others will say that I take up the whole space of the room. I know they're kidding because I'm only 5'7" and hardly obese.

I'm a huge sci-fi fan: Asimov, Chrichton, Douglas, Scott Card come to mind. I'm not a fantasy person, but I have enjoyed LOtR, Song of Ice & Fire and Aragon. Otherwise, my books tend to be political-sociological in natur

Movies are great! I prefer summer block busters. I tend to shy away from artsy and meaningful movies. It isn't because I'm closed minded, but I feel like I get enough of that from my books!

I'm a bit of an exhibitionist. When I was 4, when I was crossing the street, I let my pants fall because I thought it was hilarious. Everyone else thought it was an accident. Little did they know how devious that child was!

My personality trait here on Ok Cupid says I'm less artsy and indie than the average person my age. This is true in the most superficial sense. I hate the aesthetic that artists live under. I find it vain and pretentious. Aesthetics should reflect a deeper meaning about how you relate to the world. I'm not a revolutionary, though I understand them. I'm not a person with crazy wild ideas, though I think I have a few in my back pocket. I'm not searching for the meaning of life, I found what matters in the sands of Iraq. I'm just a dude that wants to be happy doing what he likes, and willing to get along with the vast majority of people to do so. I can create art and give a deep lecture about military sociology, but I don't think I have to dress and play the part of either to get my ideas across.
