My self-summary
Queer femme. I tend to use sass a lot. I'm direct, compassionate, caring, confident, smart, friendly, and independent. I'm carefree, but extremely passionate about certain things like my job. Sometimes I'm a little goofy. Sometimes I wear glasses, sometimes I don't. I'm kind of a girly girl and am rather feminine in appearance, but I also love things like camping and hiking.

I speak Sesotho (apparently not a language recognized by okcupid). I learned the language while living and teaching in Lesotho, a small country in Southern Africa.

I have a weakness for intelligent women who are kind of tomboyish.
What I’m doing with my life
I recently rediscovered my athletic side, I lift and I play roller derby, I also walk a lot.

I work as a special education teacher in Brooklyn at a school for kids with autism. I teach tiny humans all about technology, currently we are coding and building robots. They make me laugh on a regular basis and I absolutely love what I do.
I’m really good at
Dancing, laughing, seeing the good in people, being open and accepting.
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile and my long eyelashes. My height, 5'8"
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I enjoy a good movie, especially independent films. Some of my favorites include Pariah, But I'm a Cheerleader, Beginners, Broken English, Amelie, Sabrina, Breakfast At Tiffany's, and the Wizard of Oz.

I don't really watch much TV, but I enjoy anything with a strong female lead. I like Transparent.

My music collection is eclectic. I tend to listen to things based on my mood or the occasion. I like to listen to anything with a good beat or that I can sing along to.
The six things I could never do without
Family, friends, camera, music, roller skates and going for long walks.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What I'd like my next photo project to be.

What it means to be a radical educator. How race and gender play out in my classroom.

Tattoos I may or may not get.

The intersection of femininity and queer.
On a typical Friday night I am
Something low key, usually recovering from a long week.

You are kind, compassionate, know who you are and you're more tomboyish than girly girl. You have a sense of humor.
