A lot has happened recently. I took a big hit on the health side of things when I found out I have type 2 diabetes. It was a pretty hard blow, but I'm doing pretty good at changing how I live to go with it. I've lost close to 50 pounds which I'm extremely proud of, and I quit drinking sodas and, well, ok I'll be honest, I haven't completely given up snacking or chinese, but cmon, I'm not dead!
Also pretty excited to have my bike now, and love to get out and ride. I'd love to find someone who'd like to jump on the back of my bike, hold on tight and go for a fun ride in the country or anywhere for that matter.
I'm a dad! Ok, I suppose I shouldn't have used an exclamation point as she's 15 now, so it's not really a surprise anymore, but sometimes it still feels like it :D She's an amazing kid and I would hope you'd think so too if you get the chance to meet her.
I'm 38 going on 21, or so it feels. I am not your typical "adult"... I love amusement parks, going on picnics, playing video games and watching pretty much any kind of movie you can think of (other than most dramas, at least have a LITTLE action, ok?)
I am self employed and love it, though the money could be a little better if I'm being honest here. I do web design and buy and sell online. I am satisfied with what I have, but don't expect to buy that Porche 959 I've been wanting, at least not any time in the foreseeable future lol :D But it's great to be able to be home when my daughter comes back from school, and being able to set your own hours is a real perk for sure.
I'm a massive music lover, most classic rock and 80's (oh wait, 80's is considered classic rock now, when the hell did that happen?!) The only music I am not a fan of really is rap and heavy metal.
I love to cook and bake which definitely doesn't go well with my diabetes (the homemade cinnamon rolls were probably not the best idea this weekend... sigh) but it is something I am pretty good at.
My daughter and I both love camping (Notice I didn't say RV'ing - we rough it lol) and go when we can, and with a sister in the UP, we get to kill two birds with one stone. I like to fish, but I don't hunt - I just can't bring myself to shoot bambi. I love to go quadding if I can find someone who has one I can borrow hehe...
So yeah, there's a lot more to me than that, but I think this has gotten pretty long as is, so if you think the above was at least mildly entertaining and / or interesting and would like to know more, please do write. I have been told often that I'm pretty easy to talk to and I always love talking to people!
All the best and happy fishing!
