My self-summary
Alright, first off? I'm a nerd. There, got that out of the way. Not "Lives in parent's basement and has no hygiene" nerd, but I do spend a lot of my free time playing vidjamagames.

I also like being outside, going jogging and seeing movies - normal people stuff, so you're safe there! I haven't been doing as much of these as I'd like, because I don't like doing them alone. (Something I'm not: Subtle. Bam!)

I used to be that quiet, shy guy - perhaps I still am, I just hide it better. I make myself talk to people I don't know even though I'd much rather go off by myself - I find people interesting, I'm just not always confident I am. If you do spend some time with me I'm perfectly willing to listen, or talk, or make bad jokes...

I'm not necessarily looking for someone equally nerdy - prior experience seems to indicate that the opposite may be best - but I am looking for someone to hang out with and keep things interesting.

I feel my social circle has been shrinking, a lot of friends I've had since high school finished up college and moved off to Denver (apparently that's where the cool, successful kids go - I'm not one yet). It really feels like I only know a handful of people in Fort Collins these days. So! Here I am, trying to change this.
What I’m doing with my life
Working on getting my butt back in school (Computer Science, if ya care), trying to organize moving in with several of my local friends (it sort of feels like herding cats) and working at retail hell in the meantime.

In the last few years I've noticed that my metabolism isn't what it used to be, and am trying to watch what I eat (I wave as it goes into my mouth - Ha!) and become more active. It's hard for me because I don't really find lifting up something heavy and setting it back down interesting... I've settled on jogging, I borrow my roommate's dog so it's not so bad.
I’m really good at
Cooking, I guess? I'm always surprised that with a bit of google-fu and a trip to the grocery I can make anything I want. Egg Foo Yung? Lasagna? Jambalaya? It's crazy. Crazy awesome!

I like to think I'm pretty good at anything when I put my mind to it - I'm just not always the best at putting my mind to things. There's always something interesting to do and not enough hours in the day to do them.
The first things people usually notice about me
Well I am rocking a pretty sweet beard these days, so possibly that. Maybe I'll go back to a goatee sometime... or *gasp* clean shaven?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I adore Sci-Fi, I often read Fantasy. My all-time favorite book is probably Dan Simmon's Hyperion. I enjoyed reading Asimov, Frank Herbert (They keep making Dune books and I keep buying them!), Orson Scott Card, I read a ton of Anne McCaffrey at one point. I used to read a heck of a lot, now I mostly read on my lunch breaks - I've recently discovered audiobooks, my roommate is trying to get me to listen to a bunch while I drive to work.

Movies: My favorite has always been the Matrix - said I was a nerd, didn't I? I like action movies (Yay explosions!), thrillers (Yay plot twists) and comedies (when they're, ya know, actually funny). I've also watched some fun romances before, but if you admit to that, they take away your guy card.

Shows: I never watched that much TV, but through the magic of Netflix my friends have got me watching a few. Currently I'm enjoying Supernatural and Scrubs (and trying to pretend I don't see the ten or so seasons of South Park, Futurama, Family Guy, etc I never watched).

Music: Given the option I listen to techno or metal, but my favorite band is Poets of the Fall. I'm not really picky about what I listen to (not really a fan of rap or country, but I've heard some of both that were pretty entertaining). Generally, I'm looking for either something low key that I can listen to without being distracted by, or something that will drown out distractions.

Food: I can't think of any food I actively dislike, my favorites would probably be sushi and anything Italian.
The six things I could never do without
Computer/Internet - seriously, without this thing I wouldn't talk to half my friends (What did people do before Skype?). And I'd need a new hobby...

My friends - Even in person, they're still pretty cool. Hah!

My roommate's dog - he's a jerk, but he keeps me company when no one else is around.

Those mountains - Seriously, how could I live somewhere where they didn't have a view like that from my living room?

I could probably fudge a few more (My car, this apartment even though we're paying too much for it) but those are the big ones.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
things I don't like about my life, and how to fix them.

For example: Being single. Not a fan. So, I'm using some crazy dating site to fix this!
On a typical Friday night I am
Working, usually. And trying to figure out if any of my friends are doing something fun when I get off work.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I sing (badly) along with the radio when I'm alone in the car. It's great fun.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 23–29
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You read my profile and think I'm awesome. I think I'm awesome too, that gives us something in common! Joking - if you read my whole profile that does make *you* awesome though, we should totally hang out.

You like to cuddle. I'm very physical with my affection - feel free to interpret that any way you like...

You want to do stuff outside more often, but your friends are bad at it. Or maybe yours aren't - bring your friends! Mine are still bad at it...
