My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a learner who also likes to do. And make. I'm generally a dork (which is not self-deprication, i assure you). I also attempt to be sincere, sarcastic utterances notwithstanding.

I enjoy casual hangouts, and I like my friends, but I'm also looking outward. So I figured I'd stumble around to meet some characters for friendship, or otherwise.

Are you nice, funny, nerdy, creative, or courageous, or some combination of the above? Say hi! I like getting to see people's quirks.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
-Taking my time, but leaning to be mindful of time
-Researching brain stuff, which is kind of exciting
-(Re)connecting with people
-Niche hunting
-Looking to glimpse different people's perspectives and way of life
-Branching out to a computer/creative career
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
-Thinking (too much)
-Feeling different from those around me, for the most part
-Thinking big (is that day dreaming or goal crafting?)
-Attending to detail
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Hmm... Maybe the white patch in my beard? (been there much longer than the beard itself!)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
My music is eccletic, from electronic types to indie to old timey. No one thinks I'm a dance fiend, but I liked every track on last year's draft punk.

For movies, I usually like thinkers or thrillers, so maybe Children of Men, or Spirited Away (and other Miyazaki flicks). I also really enjoy most of the super hero "uhoh"-smash-win movies. Child like, remember? It wasn't just a bone-chillingly profound quip!

I give far less time to books than they deserve. I've enjoyed Larry's Party, Catch-22, and the Importance of Being Earnest.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Creativity, with(in/out)
Time in natural surroundings
Something to steward
Lessons to learn
People with perspicacity
Compassion and boundaries

Honourary mention: a sweet beat
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Just about everything, really. I like thinking, even about things which have no practical use. And then at other times, I like to totally stop thinking and just veg out.

Psychology/neuroscience (often for work)
Physics/biology/engineering (strictly for pleasure)
Cycling and exercise
Learning things, big and small
Building a good future
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
No typical Friday, so maybe having good conversation with a friend or two, spending it at home reading or working on a project, warming a pub seat, or getting to know someone new.
