I am granola-ee, out-going, and laidback.
My Self-Summary
I'm a twenty eight year old Musician who happens to be a Grad
student at Duke University. Music is my life but I also enjoy
sailing or
wandering through the woods. I like reading,
running, soccer,
frisbee sports,
horse back riding,
swing dancing and
going on random adventures. I'm told I'm pretty laid back and I
happen to be kind of a beer snob. I love sitting around writing
acoustic rock songs and if I don't go camping every so often I
actually get kind of pissy (well, pissy for me anyway). I worked at
a summer camp in various different positions for a couple years.
Spent some time in India studying religions and culture. My chaco's
are an almost permanent extension of my feet (although if I didn't
have to wear shoes...). Recently I've really been getting into
swing dancing, disc golf (old school style) and wilderness
survival. Yes there is no real coherency between these three, but
they're all kind of fun.
What I’m doing with my life
Grad school (I already covered that), I'm also the lead singer of a
rock band. In the meantime I'm trying to see if I can turn my
bicycle into my only form of transportation.
I’m really good at
Running distance
or sprints,
Ultimate frisbee,
writing music (at
least people tell me), blah blah blah I can usually talk to just
about anyone, anywhere and not seem A) sketchy or B) overbearing.
The first things people usually notice about me
I dress as though I'm always ready to backpack. I'm pretty easy
going, and apparently I swagger, which I've never really noticed,
but a few semi-reliable sources say that it is so. I however
maintain that these people are liars.

The six things I could never do without
My Guitar, Sail boats, the forest, a good book, good music and my
friends.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The Cypress Tree in the garden, Ethics, how to undermine the
republican parties attempts to turn everyone in America into money
grubbing thieves.
On a typical Friday night I am
With friends, causing whatever havoc.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I've read Pride and Prejudice twice... because I enjoyed it.
You should message me if
You feel like it. I really have only one qualifier. You must
understand that I think that any writing of Ayn Rand is the at the
intersection of the worst parts of Republican, libertarian and
secular humanist philosophies held up as the highest good (you know
that Ayn Rand hates charity right?). Incidentally I actually get
along with Secular humanists quite well, I just put them on the
list because it really pisses off the republicans.
