Generally laid-back and appreciative of the simple pleasures. I
think a good sense of humor and a kind heart make the world go
round. Fresh air off the ocean and a warm sun on my face will set
my world right. I'm a big fan of hiking, campfires, sarcasm,
Sriracha, and all things bacon. I'm an IPA and Scotch kinda guy and
would go barefoot everyday if I could.
In the end I'm just trying to live by the golden rule and find
someone who does the same. I'd like to be able to explore, relax,
and have a little fun with a partner who is just as comfortable
being herself around me as I am around her.
What I’m doing with my life
Grown up answer: working and planning so I can build a foundation
to support my future family and retire at 50.
Inner child answer: I just want to have fun with my friends and
ride go-karts all day. And go back to Space Camp.
I'm working on finding the balance.
I’m really good at
Making BBQ sauce, folding fitted sheets, eating brunch, retaining
useless knowledge, and air guitar. Real guitar TBD.
Lazy Sundays are my jam.
The first things people usually notice about me
Flashy dance moves.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Burned through the Song of Ice and Fire series and couldn't get
enough, One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest is my favorite book, but I
will always hold a special place in my heart for some Calvin and
I will listen to most things indie, folky, and bluegrassy, all
things bluesy, and extra love for anything with a horns section.
I've recently gotten really into Brother Ali, it's positivity,
love, and soul set to great lyrics and rhythm. Not much more I
could ask for.
Love me some Planet Earth, Game of Thrones, Dexter,
Californication, West Wing, and The Newsroom. Big Star Wars and
Jurassic Park fan. Loved Pirate Radio, This is the End, Motorcycle
Diaries, City of God.......and Pitch Perfect. I was aca-obsessed
with that movie for a bit.
If it's food, I want it.
The six things I could never do without
A little bit of solitude either on the trail or in the city,
sometimes I just need to walk around by myself.
A good beer in a good pub.
The right song (or album) at the right time.
My pen and notebook.
A good laugh.
A reality check every once in a while.
So, seven things.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The perfect meal, witty retorts to conversations I had a few days
ago, starry nights where there is no light pollution, and how to
roast the perfect chicken.
But mostly what my dog is thinking and what I want for lunch.
On a typical Friday night I am
Preferably going out for a nice dinner and drinks. This is
sometimes (often?) replaced with just drinks. I like to sprinkle in
the Netflix binge every once in a while as well.
You should message me if
You believe that building a friendship is the best foundation for a
Posting up at a favorite bar with good beers/cocktails, a
smattering of well executed snacks, and good conversation
punctuated by plenty of witty banter ranks high up on your list of
a great night.
You want me to cook you dinner.
