I love shooting, fishing, writing, reading, traveling, darts, Steampunk and going to Renaissance Festivals. I am a safety professional by trade and training but I currently manage a maritime company. It's really the best job I've had in years. My dream is to be a successful writer. I have just finished a Steampunk novel that I will publish online. All I need is to come up with some cover art. I work fifty hours a week and I love my job, but always enjoy my time off too. I like to get away for the weekend when I can. When I do get to travel I like going to amusement parks to ride roller coasters or go to museums, historical sites, or a good bed and breakfast. But quiet weekends at home are very relaxing too.

I have an quick sense of humor and I love to laugh. Life is too short to spend being gloomy. I love stargazing and thunderstorms, camping, swimming and walking on the beach.

I'm a pirate at heart, but the romantic type, not the nasty, smelly kind with bad teeth and worse breath.

I am quick-witted, funny, irreverent, and friendly.

I am happily engaged to a wonderful girl I met here on OKC. The simple little thing called "Ice Breakers" really worked! UPDATE: I'd have to say it REALLY worked because we are now living together in perfect harmony! I'm managing a marine supply company while pursuing my dream of being a published writer.

I'm really good at writing, drawing, and target shooting. I'm also pretty good at leather working. I can make almost anyone laugh in just about any situation. After years of working as a safety professional, I'm pretty good at figuring out what happened when things go wrong. And I'm a pretty good kisser too.

I guess most people notice my smile and my sense of humor. Can't be my fashion sense, because that's just boots and jeans.

My favorite books would include Tolkien's Lord of the Rings, Forrester's Hornblower series, Frank Herberts' Dune, and Anne McCarthery's Dragon Riders of Pern. I also read a lot of naval history. I recently read a few Steampunk novels. Two were pretty good, and the other sucked. Now I'm re-reading some old Andre Norton scifi novels. I loved them when I was a kid and I still do. As to movies, I usually gravitate toward SciFi and fantasy but I also like some westerns and action/adventure movies. I started reading a lot more when I got my Driod 2 phone last year. It came with a Kindle reader. I love that thing. Music? I'm pretty open. I like classic rock, some country, some classical, and even some new-age. I'm not much on jazz, blues, or rap. Opera doesn't do it for me either. If it sounds like someone's killing a cat, it's a sure bet I won't like it much. And now food: Well, considering where I live, I get the best of everything. We have Tex-Mex and Cajun, Greek, seafood, and pasta. I guess I'll try just about anything once, and if it doesn't kill me or make me gag, I'll try it again.

All kinds of things, but mostly how much my life has turned around in the last year or so and how much happier I am these days. I try not to worry or get bogged down in problems.

Relaxing with my lady after a long week of work. Cuddling on the couch watching cheezy old scifi on TV is always nice. Staying up until I'm just too sleepy to keep my eyes open is a luxury knowing I can make up for it in the morning.

I love skinny-dipping.
