Here's what I like about internet dating: My intentions are out there. I'm here to meet some cool chicks, go out with a few of them, and, ideally, find someone that I'd like to hang around for an extended amount of time. Sure, I could go to a bar, and try and pick up on some drunk girl, but that shit sucks. If you're on my profile page, I'm assuming that you're a girl, and you've been to the bar, and you've had some dude try and pick you up. And it's weird, and creepy, and a lot of douchebaggery is involved. Frankly, I'm happy to avoid all of that nonsense. I'd like to have a shred of dignity after all of that is said and done. I hate hitting on people. It's just uncomfortable for all parties involved. That's what I like about internet dating. I get to be sincere in my intentions. Here I am, a guy trying to meet a gal, take her out for a drink, or dinner, or just do something fun together, and enjoy ourselves. I'm not looking for marriage, I'm not looking for a soulmate, or any of that fairy tale bullshit at this point. I'm interested in simply meeting someone that I enjoy hanging out with on a regular basis, who also enjoys hanging out with me, and just going from there. No biggie. Wanna grab a beer and get to know each other a bit, see if we're fans of each other? Cool! I'm down. I mean, that's why we're here, right?
