What I’m doing with my life

Living with a Fine Arts degree and trying to figure out what to do about that. My brain cells are voting on going back to school, probably do education in grad school, or shift gears completely and go into psych or sociology.

I’m really good at

Quoting SpaceBalls and Robin Hood Men in Tights.
Playing air drums.
Violin (Well, I used to be. I could probably pick it back up. Played 4th grade - Junior year of college)
Listening and helping out.
Typing (80 WPM!)
Driving, I do lot's of road trips and usually drive my friends around.
DDR
Laser Tag
Photography
Photoshop (for when I'm not really good at Photography)
Working with clay
Doing crazy voices.
Forgetting what I was talking about.
Living, haven't failed at it so far, so I'm really good at it, I'd say.
Putting 2 spaces at the end of sentences.
Changing majors.

The first things people usually notice about me

I either am really shy or really talkative. I usually end up smiling a lot, I can't help it. Sometimes I wear glasses.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Favorite books? I read a lot of fantasy, some sci fi, and humor. The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy "trilogy" is great. World War Z. Jennifer Government. RA Salvatore's books. Stuff by Orson Scott Card, Sara Douglass, Jim Butcher.

Movies would be mostly comedy and action. Also B movies and other "bad" movies that are fun to overdub, make fun of, and generally do a MST3K to.
Mel Brooks' movies, Miyazaki's films. Superhero movies (X-men, Fantastic Four, etc.). Only things I really don't like are slasher movies. Anything else I will enjoy more than likely, even if it is due to me doing voice overs or making jokes, in my head or out loud.

I don't really listen to a lot of music; usually just when I'm in my car or playing Rock Band. But I'm pretty happy with almost anything if it has good musical structure. I played violin for a good chunk of my life, so I tend to listen to the composition over the lyrics. Only things I really can't stand are rap/hip-hop/metal. If I had to list some Day Behavior, Metric, Freezepop, Daft Punk.

As far as food goes, I have pretty plain tastes for the most part. I like pastas and pizza. Peanut butter and jelly. Spicy stuff. Bread and cheese are basically the best foods in the world.

I'm including (some) favorite games. If you play one online, let me know!
Board/Card games: Munchkin, Cranium, Pictionary, Settlers, Ticket to Ride, Taboo, Fluxx
Video Games: Earthbound, Ragnarok, Star Ocean, Phantasy Star, Left4Dead, Half Life, Final Fantasy, Fat Princess, Team Fortress 2

The six things I could never do without

In no particular order, excluding life essentials and non-material "stuff" (ex. friends, laughter)

Games
Transportation
Books
Art Supplies
Smoothies
Computer

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Ideas for various projects, be it comics, sculptures, stories, etc.

Where I left my paint brushes.

Time travel paradoxes.

On a typical Friday night I am

Plotting. And by plotting I mean playing rock band with some friends. Or going out to a movie and rocking out and dancing to that song that plays while they tell you to turn off your cell phone. Sometimes, cosmic bowling. I would like to say Laser Tag, but they got rid of Laser Quest in Lexington.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I stole a fork from a Denny's on a road trip.

My camera carrying case is an old GameCube carrying case. Trust me, it really works!

I don't know how to ride a bike. All I can say in that regard is: 'ow'

I'm a shy romantic.

You should message me if

You think you could beat me in Smash Bros.
You want to rock in my Rock Band band.
You want a new Steam friend to play Left4Dead/Team Fortress 2 with
Going out taking pictures, going bowling, having dinner then being close and playing Resident Evil sounds like a romantic evening.
You don't smoke/do drugs and aren't super into alcohol.
Are generally a cool person, optimistic and you know that "later" isn't spelled with a number.
I love getting messages and making new friends, so please don't be shy!
