I am creative, caring, and a bit dorky at times.

My Self-Summary

I'm tend to be pretty shy when I first meet people or in large social settings, but once I warm up I can be quite talkative. I love to laugh, and find myself giggling quite often. I enjoy finding humor in the everyday little things of life. My personality tends to be on the silly side, but I also love having the ability to carry on an intelligent conversation with someone. Throw in some wit, and I'm a happy girl.

My interests are many, but music tends to stand out the most. I love the small venues Madison has to offer. It's great to be up close in an intimate setting for seeing live music. Also, I read about music a lot.

I also greatly enjoy art, architecture, museums, traveling, movies of just about any genre, and the theater. These are things I wish I took more time to enjoy.

I’m really good at

Starting projects.

The first things people usually notice about me

is my smile.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Some of my favorite reads: art history, Chuck Palahniuk, Mental Floss magazine & blog, music blogs, The Onion, & the news.
(Not all books, but it's my profile so I'll answer how I see fit.)

As for movies, I like a bit of everything. I tend to gravitate towards suspense and dark comedies, but I enjoy just about every genre.

There is just too much music to list here, but to use an umbrella term I would say I am into the indie scene. I love catching smaller shows when the crowd is right; I miss Cafe Montmartre very much.

I love to cook. It's a stress reliever for me, and it's a simple way to show someone you care. No favorites, but I am usually willing to try new things

The six things I could never do without

1. iPod (music moves my soul)
2. cell phone (there's an app for that)
3. friends & family
4. coffee and nicotine (I hope to give up the latter, but don't touch my coffee)
5. my bed (it's the first thing I look forward to after a long weekend or a rough day)
6. a good laugh

On a typical Friday night I am

It always changes. As it gets colder, there will be more nights in with a good book, good movie, or just catching up with a good friend.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I can't whistle. Many have tried to teach me, but it doesn't happen.
(Damn you Andrew Bird; how you mock me!)
