My Self-Summary
Hello, my name's Peter. So, I'd like to get in on this
online-dating thing, but I'm kind of skeptical about the brackets
thing. Do I have to list my interests like
video games and
music? It looks so obnoxious. But I
have many more, like
animals,
greek food,
hanging out, and
taking amazing naps.
Those are all so vague, though. I'm a pretty big video game player,
I used to have a guild on World of Warcraft and all the nerdy crap,
but I just stopped playing seriously, because it stopped being
worth my time. I used to be a music major in vocal production,
which is the fancy way of saying singing, but I don't do that
anymore for several reasons. I own a pet rabbit, who I adore and
care for very much.
I grew up in a restaurant family, and we're Greek, so naturally I
like gyros, spanakopita, baklava, all that good stuff.
Little tidbits:
I have very little tact.
I enjoy
stand-up comedy.
I space out a lot.
I like wearing long coats that make me look like a flasher.
My beard itches.
I have a chest cavity. I call it the hole where my heart used to
be.
I'm very fidgety.
Waterbottles are for schmucks.
I caught all 150 original pokemon on blue.
Mew does not effing count.
The only cats I like are black cats.
I named my rabbit after a Duran Duran album.
Bad music is sometimes better than good music.
I hate every season equally.
And apparently I give good backrubs.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm going to school for
Spanish Language and Literature with a
Japanese Language
and Literature minor at the University of Minnesota: Twin Cities. I
plan to become a teacher!
Maybe I should join a band, though. That'd be fun as hell. Hell is
pretty fun.
I’m really good at
I'm good at
singing, I think. At least I'm good at
appreciating all kinds of music and entertainment. I'm pretty good
at playing video games (I can put up a fight in various competitive
games), but I have started sort of a descent into real life where
productivity overpowers pleasure. Finally, I am great at skimming
through classes without actually doing assigned readings.
The first things people usually notice about me
My hairiness, or my height, but mostly my hairiness, which is weird
to say, but for some reason I think a lot people are just
comfortable around me. *shrug*
It's really not that bad, though.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
The Poisonwood Bible was extremely sad but it was a great read. The
Hitchhiker's Trilogy is fantastic. Up next for me is a book by Paul
Coelho called The Winner Stands Alone, we'll see if it's any good.
Mostly I like
Sci-fi and
contemporary literature.
I'm really not a huge movie person, but some of the movies I like
are Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and The Exorcist. I'm not
a fan of going to the movies, and sitting around trying to watch
movies with my friends is usually disastrous because we're pretty
hyper.
Some of my favorite comedians include Mitch Hedberg, George Carlin,
Lewis Black, and David Cross.
Currently I'm obsessed with such
alternative/
indie music forces like Portugal. The Man,
Mother Mother, The Antlers, Fever Ray and Jupiter One. For a taste
of what else I have, the first 10 artists that come up on my
shuffle are Cake, Beck, The Blue Hearts, Madonna, Freezepop, Lush,
ELO, Elton John, Barenaked Ladies, and Daft Punk. I have songs from
every genre on my list of 4100 songs, some much more than others,
but still. If you were to ask me about my taste of a certain genre
that you particularly like, I could give you an answer. Then I'd
elaborate on it for hours.
The six things I could never do without
Jeff Goldblum
A machine that can carry over four thousand songs of which I can
listen to at any time.
My friends, because I want to look like a good person on the
internet.
My family, because I'd more than likely be dead without them. Dead,
or very very emotionally damaged.
My adorable pet rabbit.
And also a bottle of hand lotion. I hate dry hands.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Music and school, and my bunny. Not so much the studying and going
to class part of school, but the sending lots of money in
part.
I also think about the giant piles of laundry that I have yet to
do.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either hanging out with my circle of friends back home in
Stillwater, doing homework or playing a video game. Or boppin'
around to music loudly and bugging my roommates by singing.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I don't actually like Aqua. All my friends do, and I go along with
it, but I'm afraid that if I tell them directly, they won't believe
me. I also find it ironic that I'd be more guilty over NOT liking
Aqua in my circle of friends.
You should message me if
Boop ba doop bah, la da da da. Doo diddly dee.
