My self-summary
Living in Leadville, though I travel to the Front Range regularly.

Oregon grown, world travel-ripened. Now calling Colorado my home and working in the outdoors. I hope to be here for a while... who knows though, life happens!

I'm an adventurer to the core. Passionate about being outside and kinesthetically exploring the wilds. I'm always looking for others who share this passion.

I'm not one dimensional though... I'm artistic, and silly (waaaaay more silly than most would guess,) socially and environmentally conscientious, thoughtful, driven, and mostly just a lot of fun.

I'm also a feminist. Hopefully you are too?

INFJ if you're into that sort of thing.

I'm polyamorous/non-monogamous, and have been so for over six years. I have a lot of love to give, and like to give it to more than one person, and the boundaries between friend and lover can be kind of gray to me. Love comes easily to me, and my ideas about it are outlined really well here. I'm not the jealous type, and naturally have a lot of compersion.

I'd consider myself a "solo poly," as I don't have any primary partner currently. I do have several long term, long distance lovers in my life, including xblueskiesalways. This doesn't mean I can't build love filled connections with others. Casual dating, and relationships of varying depth can be fun, but ultimately I'm seeking the person who wants to build a tiny house with me and adventure till the end.

I practice radical vulnerability, so really there's not much I keep to myself if one asks the right questions!
What I’m doing with my life
Gardening, being outside, and living an alternative lifestyle. Climbing everything. Brewing kombucha. Cooking deliciousfood. Flirting over wine and kicking people's asses at scrabble. Biking. Pretending I'm a superhero.

I'm an instructor with a major outdoor educator based out of Leadville. Additionally, I teach wilderness medicine and find other odds and ends like substitute teaching to make ends meet. This means that I'm usually resource poor, but experience rich... lots of travel and sporadic adventures and I'm always game for a road trip!
I’m really good at
I think I'm pretty good at building things. I don't consider myself an artist, but I make a lot of fun things out of repurposed materials. In the past year I've built a table from an old door, a couch out of upcycled bi-fold closet doors, numerous birdhouses out of old tea pots, quite a few terrariums, lots of bird feeders, a strange lamp consisting of clock gears and a mannequin hand, and many other odds and ends.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm an introvert, and if you meet me in a large group or a busy setting, I can go unnoticed on first impressions. One on one I can be fairly intense and am a powerful force though. Once I get under someone's skin I'm impossible to shake.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'll read just about anything, I've been devouring books for most of my life. Recently I've been binge reading young adult fiction.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer is probably the greatest show ever made. Joss Whedon is incredible, and a feminist, and it really comes through in his works. I also love Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog, and Arrested Development. Adventure Time is amazing as well.

I mostly listen to NPR: Radiolab, Wait, Wait... Don't Tell Me, Invisibilia, Democracy Now! and the like.

Food. It's fucking incredible. I'm not dogmatic about it, but I like good, healthy food, preferably local. Organic, grass fed, non-GMO, and cruelty free are all things that I like to put in my body.
The six things I could never do without
The survivalist/minimalist side of me wants to list part of the "ten essentials," but I realize that this gives little away about my personality.

I wouldn't want to live in a world without laughter, playing, stars, sun-kissed skin, tall things to climb and friends and family.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My future Tiny House. Someday I will build and live in one of these and it will be a thing of majesty!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and solo chill... or reading a book.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm on fetlife if that's you're thing. I'm happy to connect there.
You should message me if
You're fucking amazing. Seriously though.

...this quote moves you to risk more in life.

I would rather be ashes than dust!
I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry-rot.
I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet.
The function of man is to live, not to exist.
I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them.
I shall use my time.
