Your Notes
Edit your notesI am sex-positive, short, and a planner by nature.
My Self-Summary
I'm big on honesty and disclosure. (Lying just takes too damn much energy.)
I hate politics but I always seem to get sucked in to them.
I enjoy people. Although I tend to be more introverted by nature, I still enjoy spending time with friends and good company in general. I thrive on knowing and being near good people. And laughing. I do so love to laugh.
Knitting is addictive. I warn those of you who are contemplating knitting yourself a hat or a scarf, be prepared to be consumed by this hobby and find yourself with a corner in your living room filled with yarn and needles and knitting books.
Camping is fun too. I feel like I get reset while camping. The pressure valve on all of the stresses of my world gets released and I can function again after camping. And, I really need to go camping again soon...
I find more and more that I love projects. Be it knitting a cardigan for my mother or making etched copper ornaments for Christmas, or fixing broken systems (like the foster care system) or sewing my own curtains, I really enjoy having an idea, forming a plan, and getting it done. A couple of my next projects: Organizing a Steampunk Haunted House and a Steampunk Exhibition Ball.
I think most people look better in glasses. And I have a growing fondness for beards. But moustaches alone tend to creep me out.
I want to be a parent some day.
Things I hate: shopping, the outgoing administration, seafood, eggs, rude people (including those who don't signal), missing the bus, jewelry commercials (not every woman just wants diamonds), strong perfumes and colognes, and Hummers.
Things I love: pretty wrapping paper, Asian teapots, giving presents, playing with kittens, the Seattle Public Library system, good theatre, happy playful sex, shoulder rubs, Steven Colbert, cute socks, alpaca yarn, making out, and ice cream.
It's a shame that you can't choose your orientation. If I could choose, I think I'd pick being bi.

What I’m doing with my life
In the meantime, I've been volunteering a lot with my community center.

I’m really good at
As with many things, I have to go off of what people tell me I'm good at. I've gotten compliments on my ability to kiss and the like. Also, I've been rated well on my shoulder rubs.
The first things people usually notice about me
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
B)Office Space, American Beauty, American Pie, Velvet Goldmine, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Shawshank Redemption, Fight Club, The Princess Bride, Zoolander, All the Queen's Men, A Clockwork Orange, Magnolia, Amelie, Serenity, etc.
C)Ella Fitzgerald, Green Day, Jem, CCR, Tom Petty, The White Stripes, Muse, Radiohead, The Beatles, good movie soundtracks, etc.
D)Ice cream, bacon, nectarines, chocolate, pineapple, popcorn, medium-rare steak, my dad's famous broccoli stuff, plain yogurt with fresh fruit and granola, fried chicken, potatoes, curries, pho, etc.
(More will be added to all of these lists...just give me time...)
The six things I could never do without
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How can we make schools more evenly provided for so that every student gets a fair and decent education?
How do we make comprehensive sex ed. the standard in public schools?
Why do so many people crop their profile pictures so that the thumbnail version just shows an eye?
Could I get any more cute fuzzy socks stuffed into my sock drawer?
Why are there so many southern states with towns named Lynchburg? Were they named for people or activities? And why are they still around? Wouldn't someone have thought it wise to get around to changing the names to something more upbeat like: Welcomeville, Smiley Town, or even just We're-Not-Murdering-Bigots Town?
On a typical Friday night I am
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
