I am an outgoing woman with a wide variety of interests. I love theatre, movies, long walks, watching the stars, swinging on swings, discussing the big questions, like why I can't touch my elbow to my ear and what would it be like to have a prehensile tail. I am infected with the talent to make bad puns and....well.... like most people the things I love to do are varied and hard to catagorize.
Language is very important to me and I strive to write well, talk clearly and avoid text speak. I guess it comes from having been a teacher for 29 years, which for me was more than just a job with great vacation time built in.
I am not a homebody, and I enjoy going out and doing things ..though there are many times when what I really want is a quiet evening with a book, or something interesting on tv. I love to entertain at home as well and consider myself a good cook. Travel is never far from my mind and I try to go somewhere a few times a year. My favourite trips in the last few years have been to Iceland and to Paris.
I find these self summaries give such a narrow glimpse of all the complexities than make up a human being and I hope to chat with men so they can get to know the "me" these few words can't show. .
I am looking for a man who is interested in discovering the person I am, and encouraging the person I want to be. I would love to be one of those woman who proves the adage "you're never too old to fall in love"
What I’m doing with my life
Dancing to the music, swinging on the swings, putting out my tongue
to catch the snowflakes and watching all the other people on the
I’m really good at
Empathy, understanding, analysis, evaluation
The first things people usually notice about me
Is my smile
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I like books that make me think, movies not made as hollywood
blockbusters, music I can sing with or dance to and food not
ordered from a car through a speaker
The six things I could never do without
Really? Isn't this the same for everyone? Air, water and food come
to mind as the first three followed closely by shelter, clothing
and something else on Maslowe's hierarchy of needs. Perhaps the
better question would be what would I chose not to live without.
Then the answer is love, laughter, literature, music, art, family
I spend a lot of time thinking about
-Why I can't touch my elbow to my ear.
- Why the oxford comma has fallen out of favour
and where all the good men are or perhaps where all the interesting
men are, realizing as I do that they are not the same thing.
On a typical Friday night I am
-often home enioying the quiet after a hectic week.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
is that I do indeed have private things to admit.
You should message me if
You are interested in more than just casual sex and if you think
you can satisfy the sapiophile in me.
