My self-summary
Hello hello!
I'm Calvin.

I'm an expatriate from San Diego, just beginning to finally acclimate to the Northern California culture. My lack of fervor for any single sports team has helped this transition immensely.
What I’m doing with my life
Attending CSU Chico and working on my MIS degree. One year from now and I'll finally be FREE (to get a job).

Trying to stave off realization everything is meaningless with Russian existentialist novels.
I’m really good at
Leaving the room when anything remotely awkward happens in a TV show or movie.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books are amazing! I love reading, and if I had more money I'd be spending it on my list of things to read.
I find myself most drawn to Sci-Fi and Fantasy books, but I'll devour any text someone puts in front of me. Really though, I will figuratively devour it. I like to chew through a book in as little settings as possible. I can spend an entire day trying to finish a book, and have plenty of times.

My film list is here:
I haven't really kept it updated, but that's most of it.
Top films include Princess Mononoke and Royal Tenenbaums. Really anything Wes Anderson or Miyazaki is fantastic.

Shows is... difficult. I dont have a TV, and dont like paying for it so I dont watch anything that isn't available online. I enjoy anything with a concise and compelling story, any show that pretends to have an overarching narrative but drags on for more than 4 or 5 seasons is not something I'm interested in.

Food is good. I'm lazy and dont know how to cook, but I love learning and think that it would be a lot of fun to do with a partner.
The six things I could never do without
1. Sleep.
Oh man. I love sleeping. Plus not sleeping comes with some HUGE downsides.

2. Friends
Friends are amazing.

3. Conversation
I like talking, and then listening. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

4. Autumn
The best season. It may be because I never got to experience it growing up in San Diego, but the chilly, windy nights and the color of the leaves and the smell of everything is just enchanting.

5. Video games
Any and all video games are fun and amazing, except for those where people yell at you for messing up. Those are terrible.

6. Time to Think
Usually my biannual drive to San Diego and back is enough to cover this. Who else is totally ALL ABOUT 11 HOUR DRIVES? woooooo...
On a typical Friday night I am
Watching a movie or playing games online with friends.
Generally I'd rather be out and about, but typically that's where I am!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I watched the movie "Foodfight!" in its entirety.
You should message me if
You're less apprehensive about messaging people than I am..

Also if you want to hang out. Go for a hike. Watch a show. I dunno.
