My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I love sour gummy candy, hiking, eating outside, coconut milk coffee creamer, classical music, dogs, biographies, sitting on my porch, watching a good superhero movie, gin and tonic, spending an entire day at a museum, sketching, game nights, and the list goes on.

I also love to travel (and travel a lot for work) and want my partner to share this interest. I'm not into long days at the beach unless there's a bbq involved. I've traveled a lot throughout South America, but am eager to see Southeast Asia and more of Africa. I also want to see more of the U.S., especially the Southwest (love New Mexico's state question - 'red or green'). Chaco Canyon is one of my favorite places....it's magical. A cross-country road trip would be a great way to spend a week or two.

I want a dog when I see them at the park, but think dog ownership is easier with a second person. I also love cats, even though I'm allergic.

Random fact - I'm a classically trained violinist and played hardcore from the age of 4. Now I play in a community orchestra and really enjoy it. And despite loving classical music, I also really like classic rock, 80s hair bands (Def Leppard!) and Motown.

I'm looking for a thoughtful guy that's into traveling the not-so- beaten path.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working on issues related to natural resources management and climate change.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Art (drawing in particular), music, and reading people. Also daydreaming about spring in this nasty winter weather.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My eyes. Also, most people try to guess my ethnicity.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Some of my favorite movies are the Harry Potter series, the new Star Treks, Indiana Jones, the Muppets classics and anything by Pixar (I've seen 'Up' 5 times). I like a good super hero movie too.

As far as tv, I love retro shows (All in the Family, the Muppet Show), Househunters International, and Chopped. For books, I love the Percy Jackson and Harry Potter series, anything by Bill Bryson, and historical fiction. Occasionally I like Jared Diamond.

And, I love Middle Eastern and Thai food and have a serious sweet tooth! I'm hoping pie becomes the next dessert fad....And now that Easter candy is in stores, I have lost all hope for my teeth.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
In no particular order:
1.) Coffee (every morning, never fail)
2.) Gummy candy
3.) My instrument
4.) My passport
5.) My friends and family
6.) My white noise machine
7.) My Kindle (yes, that makes 7 things)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How I can work abroad AND have a meaningful relationship.

The future.
