My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
You know the guy at the Mexican restaurant who gets his food and the server tells him, "Don't touch the plate, it's hot." and then he immediately touches the plate? I'm that guy.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I went to the Chinese buffet and got a piece of sushi. I didn't even care. Sometimes, I'll get mayonnaise on my sandwich at a street cart. I once got ice in a beverage I bought from a street merchant in rural Mexico. So, I guess I'm making bad decisions?
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Pub trivia, not naming that song, getting things off of high shelves, making pop up books "pop", changing light bulbs ( I can change the eff out of some light bulbs). I can cook a decent plate of chili verde. I probably know some random bit of information about whatever you're good at and can hold down a decent conversation about it.
The first things people usually notice about me

The heady musk of wet wool, sex, and peanut butter.

Books: Anything pop-up...
Actually the story is that I like to read quite a bit. I have a rule that I'm not allowed to buy any new books until I've read at least three of the books I already have on my shelf. I constantly break that rule. I recently moved from Portland and Powell's Books was little help with their sweet sweet shelving...

Music: Ramones, to the extent that I have a Ramones tattoo and have an issue when people say "The Ramones", and especially when they type "The Ramones", as opposed to the Ramones.
Hickey. They're kind of like Kiss, but harder.
As a Latino it is incumbent upon me to like Morrissey and the Smiths and I do. Is it really so strange?
I like the punk rock from the early 90's. I like the newer hipster indie crap. That doesn't mean I'll make mooney faces at you and try to make out with you while Bon Iver is playing.
I admit I can be a little snobby about music but unless it's contemporary christian or ke$ha I can keep my mouth shut.

The oeuvre of Kurt Russell sums it up nicely. I also like Star Wars, Saving Private Ryan, Strange Brew, and other guy movies. I will agree to watch good movies though and will watch even a bad John Cusack movie. Also, I have a high Gosling tolerance(by tolerance I mean I would consider going groupy for him), so I'll watch any of his stuff.

I will eat just about anything. I love food. I like to cook it. I like to read about it. I like to smell it. I like to window shop for it. I like to day dream about it. Most of all, I like to place it over a bed of coals.
The six things I could never do without

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I like thinking about pragmatism, nachos, lamb chops, how Buck Owens may have influenced the New York Dolls, what would rock n roll sound like without the Ramones, why DeeDee did that hip hop album, if current indie rock is on the same path that popular music was on at the end of the 60's and if we're going to need another Ramones?
Why can't I enter stuff into the "I'm looking for" section. Like, what if I'm looking for a good used copy of Abel Sanchez and Other Stories or the best plate of nachos in town?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Slamming coffee, walking somewhere, thinking about what I should cook that weekend.
Maybe watching a band, maybe getting a drink with friends, maybe hiding in my room and tearing through a book or a new record.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I enjoy the intimacy that can only be achieved by making eye contact through the slit in the stall door of a public restroom.

You would like to see a show; you can do that trick where you make it look like you've stolen my nose; you actually can steal my nose; you were going to go get a coffee anyway and wouldn't mind the company.
