Okay, so I am going to shove myself into this little text box as best I can.

I'm 28 and am currently working one of my dream jobs, I manage a comic book and gaming store in South County.

These days I have also added to the living out my dreams by hosting a podcast all about comics, the dream may have been to be on the radio but this is close enough for me.

All my life I have wanted to be a writer of some sort. I love writing of all kinds, poetry, novels, articles, essays, short stories, scripts of all kinds ... hell even text messages.

I went to Lindenwood University and majored in creative writing for a while and then eventually switched to Philosophy which ultimately was far more satisfying. I love to learn and I spend a large portion of my life doing just that. Be it from friends or from mistakes.

I have a lot of friends who care a whole lot about me and whom I care a great deal for as well.

Which brings me here.

28 years old, obsessed with music, movies, comics, novels, and passionately devoted to my work (all my work, not just my job), my life, and my friends.

Living it.

Working a whole lot, some might say too much.

Trying to find the time in the little gaps between events in my life to take a good chance and look at how great I really have things.

Now I just need to find the time to start writing.

I am a jack of all trades and a master of ... well ... actually quite a few *smile*.

I am a pretty good writer, I am a fantastic story teller, I give really great massages (ask around), I am pretty good at making people laugh, I give fantastic recommendations ... movies, music, comics, novels, television shows ... most people seem to really dig what I point them towards so I guess I am pretty good at it. There is probably other stuff that I am forgetting ...

OH RIGHT! I am great at misplacing my keys, phone, and wallet. And I am great, GREAT ... at using ellipses, and oxford commas.

I would say my winning personality, wit, and charm ... but it's definitely my long hair, beard, and dimples ... if I'm smiling.

I used to read a whole lot more novels but in more recent years I haven't been so good at finishing them. I am huge fans of The Ender Series, Books of the Banned and the Banished, The Dresden Files Series, Homicide, Me Talk Pretty One Day, anything by Brad Metzler, Cory Doctorow, Alan Moore, Warren Ellis, Greg Rucka, Mike Carey, Michael Chabon . . . lots of others

I love movies and am really big fans of the works of these directors: Woody Allen (Deconstructing Harry), Spike Lee (Do The Right Thing), Ang Lee (Ice Storm), Krzysztof Kieslowski (Red), Guillermo del Toro (The Devil's Backbone), Alfonso Cuaron (Y Tu Mama Tambien), Pedro Almodovar (Volver), Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu (Amores Perros), Roman Polanski (The Pianist), Lisa Cholodenko (High Art), Gus Van Sant (Elephant), Atom Egoyan (Ararat), Peter Berg (Friday Night Lights), David Mamet (Spartan) . . . There are so many more.

I wouldn't say that I am a gourmand or anything but I really like nice food when I get the chance. I love Sushi, Mexican, Italian, Chinese, Thai (especially Pad See Ew) and when it comes down to it I can go for a good old burger and fries.

These days I would have to say that I couldn't go without my cellphone, my messenger bag (which technically counts as a whole lot more than one thing since it is usually filled with stuff to read, pens, notebooks, and other various accouterments but I'll put it here anyway), a pen of some kind, a note book (or scrap of paper of some sort), music, and ... my stuffed penguin (stuffed animal not like I have a taxidermied Penguin around) that I have had since I was 5 ... I sleep with it every night.

My mind is often rather full, I don't know that it is ever really quiet in here. I think a whole lot about writing ideas, ways to improve my store, the music that I am listening to lately, the things I have been reading recently, my friends, philosophical concepts, sex (hey I'm a guy), world news ... yeah ... it's a busy place inside here.

These days I pretty much go home and try to wind down before going to sleep. But sometimes I go out to dinner, sometimes I go to concerts, I used to go out to karaoke bars a whole lot but I haven't been up for that kind of scene lately.

I was (and really despite it having ended, am) a HUGE fan of Gilmore Girls
