My simple description: I'm a Pennsylvania-born, Florida-trained driver who holds an Arizona license and operates a North Carolina-registered vehicle in New York state.
I'm a senior in college and I'll be done in May. I'm a History major and an English minor. I wrote my senior thesis on the events leading up to creation of the United States Air Force and how the bomber developed along side it. It was pretty much a summary of the aviation branch of the army from WWI to 1947 and how bombers were used during that time. I love WWII-era history, but especially the airplanes. Flying in a B-17 a few years ago was easily one of the highlights of my life.
I have no clue what I want to do with my life after college, but I know I want to stay somewhere cold.
I love animals, especially my pets. I've got a small collection of geckos, hamsters and fish, and at home I've got birds and dogs. The geckos are probably my favorite (and they're really addicting). I've worked at a pet store since I was 16 and it's exposed me to lots of fun animals and even more "fun" people. Oh the stories...
I have a slight obsession with my conversion van. As far as I'm concerned, no other car in the world can beat it. Does it slide in the snow? Yes. Does it try to fly off the road in a slight breeze? Yes. Does it get horrible gas mileage? Of course! Can I run you over and not feel anything? Yes, yes I can.
I read a lot in my spare time (haha, spare time....) and I love anything written by Haruki Murakami. He's amazing. But otherwise, I'm not picky. I just love books. I also play video games, though not hard-core or anything. I've got all the systems, but I rarely have time to dedicate to them. I enjoy RPGs and I'd play FPSs if they didn't make me horribly dizzy! Yes, I play Pokemon. I love it, sorry.
My television gets lots of attention when I'm bored; my Tivo is my best friend. I watch shows my mother got me hooked on like Grey's Anatomy and Desperate Housewives. I recently got pulled into Glee too, though I'm not insane about it. I record Pokemon weekly. I like shows about the paranormal, unless they're just stupid investigations where nothing happens. The Haunted is one of my favorites! I also like Fatal Attractions, Chopped, Unwrapped, Modern Marvels, Ancient Aliens... and lots more I'm sure I'm forgetting.
I also know how to give a turtle CPR.
