My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I have so much respect for women because you ladies haven't eradicated the male gender yet despite the fact that you all are constantly the subject to catcalls and dudes engaging in forced awkward small talk solely with the assumption that they might get sex out of it. Seriously. Ladies. On behalf of the male gender; thank you for not killing us off yet.

That wasn't really a self-summary but a random observation towards the world that applies to the world of online dating on your end.

And that being said. I get a lot of messages along the lines of "I'm so glad you're a feminist." Honestly, most of the strongest, brightest, and most confident people I know are women so I can't in any sort of good conscious as a guy pretend that lacking a y-chromosome constitutes having some sort of disease or disability. The last two paragraphs were again, just a random observation towards how much of a circus this site is for every girl I'm friends with who's on it.

In any case, here I am. My sister just married a guy she met off of this site 3 years ago after I convinced her to sign up. I barely was on this thing but I'm giving it another shot because why not?

Also worth noting. I appreciate a good scotch.

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books:
Just finished reading "1800 Miles To Nowhere" by Brian Keith Diaz from Edna's Goldfish/The Reunion Show; all his tour stories from being a tech for Guns N' Roses, Fall Out Boy, Sum 41, Brand New, Motion City Sountrack, and all these bands that ended up blowing up. Strongly recommend reading it if you are either interested in the music industry or ever thought about touring. Right now I am currently reading BJ Novak's new book and am enjoying it wholeheartedly.

Music:
Bomb The Music Industry!, Hop Along, The Bouncing Souls, Dillinger Four, Saves The Day, Descendents, The Weakerthans, Streetlight Manifesto, Against Me!, Less Than Jake, Neutral Milk Hotel, The Lawrence Arms, Frank Turner, Lagwagon, Off With Their Heads, The Slackers, Latterman, Iron Chic, Red City Radio, Mustard Plug, Timeshares; this will honestly go on forever.

Movies:
Fight Club, Anchorman, Pulp Fiction, Ferris Buller's Day Off, SLC Punk, I Love You, Man, 40-Year Old Virgin, High Fidelity, Step Brothers, Wedding Crashers, The Breakfast Club, Clerks, Office Space, Reservoir Dogs, Truman Show, Independence Day, Garden State, A Clockwork Orange, Billy Madison, Big Daddy.

TV Shows:
Futurama, Mad Men, Freaks & Geeks, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, New Girl, The Daily Show, The Office, Family Guy, Scrubs, Southpark, The Simpsons, Orange Is The New Black.

Food:
Just about everything but I have a soft spot for Korean BBQ and vegan soul food.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1 Scotch
2. Friends
3. My vinyl collection / record player / iPod
4. Peanut butter
5. Sriracha.
6. You!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The future, advancing in life, and where to get the best burritos.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I'm either out with friends at a bar, at a show, or throwing one of my own. I'm a promoter and I throw a lot of shows. Any of the scenarios, I always end up having a good story to tell.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I sometimes feel like there is no girl out there who is genuinely compatible with me and the thought of that being true scares me.

That and I know all the words to All Star by Smash Mouth. I rocked it at karaoke once. It was like something possessed me and I became Guy Feiri while on stage.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
I kind of find it kind of attractive if you are the confident type that likes to send the first message. To be honest, I rarely do send messages on here because of how hyper selective women can be on sites like this. However that is entirely understandable given my opening thesis statement in my self-summary.

I tend to me attracted to intelligent, cool, confident, musically driven to some extent, playful personalities.

WARNING: If you start speaking to me in French on our second or third date, chances are I will fall in love with you. Seriously. It is my one weakness. Don't take advantage of this. Please.
