I am amused, quasi-misanthropic, and eccentric.

My Self-Summary

I don't remember when or if I, myself, joined this site. I used to fool around with it in high school, doing quizzes with my best friend. That's pretty much all I need it for, so don't expect me to date you... although I suppose message if you're REALLY awesome.
I like my mindset new age but my surroundings classic. I ponder about the future of science and art by looking in 50 year old texts while sitting in antique brocade armchairs I pulled out of a dumpster. Dumpster diving should be an Olympic sport, and I should be a gold medalist.

Because not everyone is only a dog/cat person, I just want to point out that I like all animals. I currently live with:
3 cats 1 iguana 1 bearded dragon 1 anole
3 guinea pigs 1 chinchilla 1 African Grey parrot 1 scorpion

What I’m doing with my life

I low-balled and went to SUNY Albany. Big fish in a small pond syndrome. But at least it has a right decent Japanese program, which I've finished, and interesting bio professors, whom I adore. Now I am currently waiting to head down Caribbean-way to study in Vet school to be a zoo/wildlife veterinarian. I really would like to open a ferret shelter with a conjoined animal hospital in a semi-rural that is close to a city so I can easily rescue at-risk animals and take them out of the urban environment.

I’m really good at

Modesty

...but seriously, biology, sewing and tailoring, design, the dewey decimal system, Buddhist theological discussion, light Japanese conversation, raising pets, and a plethora of other activities.

I'm horrible at sports... just wretched. I also despise televised sporting events, aside from sumo.

The first things people usually notice about me

Wow that's a lot of unbrushed hair!

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Too many Books to choose a favorite but I'd have to say something written by Lewis Carroll for sentimentality sake. Beyond that I love Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett, Edgar Allen Poe, Murakami Haruki, Douglas Adams, Issa, Natsume Soseki, Mary Roach, David Sedaris, Sarah Vowell, H.G. Wells. And for comics: Jamie Hewlett, Mike Millar, Mike Mignola, Alan Moore, Junji Ito, Kazuo Umezo, Osamu Tezuka, Katsuhiro Otomo.

My movie doesn't need to be thought about Tank Girl! but really anything that could be described by "post-apocalyptic." I also love kid movies that have wit that can be appreciated by adults, horror (from Boris Karloff to slasher flicks), B-grade scifi (Killer Klowns from Outer Space), a few musicals (like Little Shop of Horrors), risque sensuality without too many actual sex scenes (the Secretary), interesting animated films (anything Miyazaki).

Music is hard b/c I like most of it, as long as it makes you feel good...Portishead, Rammstein, Electric Six, and Yoko Kanno are permanent fixtures.

Food is also hard, I like healthy food a lot, I honestly think it tastes good, but I can never say no to cheesecake.
Now in Japanese
私の一番大好きな本はたぶん今昔物語です。
アニメ名映画好きです。
大好きな音楽はGOGO7188とMr.Children.
好きな料理はすしとてんぷらとなべです。

The six things I could never do without

1. My friends (animals are included), b/c otherwise who would I putter around after.
2. My books, all of them (you cant possibly make me choose just 6 if they're kept in a single noun).
3. Coffee, for it is oh so delicious.
4. A clean private restroom, b/c public is grosser than none.
5. My brain, which is starting to run out of ideas.
6. You, is that what you want to hear?

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Death, and it's interrelation to life.

On a typical Friday night I am

Literally, I'm getting a ride back from volunteering all day at the zoo and then eating dinner and passing out with a book on my face. Hypothetically, if I had a free Friday, I'd probably do the same thing (i.e. sitting at home reading) since I'm a homebody with literally only one local friend.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I'm blunt as hell.

Also, I collect skulls, would you care to make a donation?

You should message me if

You could stand me.

Also, do not message me with perverted puns about my pseudonym (it's a play on my childhood nickname), it's getting very tiresome.
