My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Life leads us in many directions - many of which we could never anticipate, plan for, or set goals around. Above all, I am comitted to exploring the path that lies before me with love in my heart and a smile on my face. I'm not afraid if that path goes left when the rest of the world goes right, or when it clearly points me back up the on-ramp of mainstream.

Happy to tell you my story over a coffee or cocktail. I have nothing to hide and believe in open, honest communication as the foundation for healthy relationships. I'm in a 10-year open relationship with a woman I love and live with, and would call myself "polyamorous". Not something I would have predicted when I was 30, but it has really worked for me in unexpected ways. Once you have a loving and positive polyamorous experience, you are pretty much ruined for life on "strict monogamy." It's that powerful.

I am interested in meeting new people with the intent of going out for food or drinks, outdoor activities, intelligent conversation, laughing and enjoying life! Happy hour anyone? Just friends is just fine if that's what works... I'm looking to make new friends in general and see where it goes with a few, with a goal of finding one person to explore an open relationship with. Something beyond FWB that we would define together. That may take a while. I'm OK with that.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Lately: swimming, road biking novice, hiking, live music, cocktails, pubs, backyard BBQ, Netflix series' and the occaissonal book.

Less lately: trail running, martial arts, backpacking, camping, music festivals, motorcycle touring, boating, wakeboarding, water skiing, mountain biking, rock climbing.

Work: technical management consultant around corporate environmental and sustainability functions - this involves a lot of travel, which I also enjoy; especially if it's international.

I have also worked as a bartender on and off over the years - most notably at the Scarlet Ranch when it was downtown.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making out - seriously! I've got oral skills. I am also a relentless optimist and extremely resourceful when creative solutions are called for.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I'll save you the long essay and just say that the whole zombie / vampire thing is totally lost on me, however Anne Rice did produce some fascinating reading under a surname....

I love to cook and go to foodie restaurants, have a huge inventory of favorite movies and bands, and like to go see live music when I can. Summer nights at Red Rocks are one of the greatest benefits of living here.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Space
Whole foods I can cook and enjoy eating
Connection
A beautiful world to love and live on
People to watch and romanticize about

A personality that thinks it is unique to struggle with and learn from in my journey back to oneness
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Engaged non-attachment and mindfulness
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Finishing up the week's work; and then hungry for conversation, cocktails and laughter (and maybe a big mess of Mexican food)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I was a Casa Bonita diver in 1994 - with video to prove it! Absolutely the best $7.50 an hour I ever made. Pretty much learned to rock climb in there.
