My self-summary
I am a smart smartass, sometimes a jackass and once in awhile a dumbass. My ass by itself is pretty boring. I hate being in a crowd, but like being close to one. I'm hardly ever serious, but only because I've got shit figured out well enough that I don't have to be.

Autobiography: I was born, I did some stuff, and I'll probably do more stuff before I eventually die.

I'm a geek, but the interesting kind with a social life. I'm into pretty much every kind of media and love marathoning a good tv show on Netflix, but I'm not a total shut in and also like getting out to movies, shows, restaurants and the occasional bar (just as long as the music isn't so loud you have to scream to be heard).

For anyone curious why I only have glasses in some pictures it's because I just got them recently. I wore them when I was a kid and absolutely hated it, and my mom eventually stopped trying to force me. However, now I have a job where I stare at a computer screen for 8 hours, and since I have vision insurance I figured it was time to actually use it.
What I’m doing with my life
Just enjoying life at the moment. I have a good job with good pay and benefits, an awesome schedule, and enough vacation to get away and enjoy myself when I want to. In the last few years I've been to Italy (Milan, Rome and Florence), Philly, NYC, Las Vegas, Myrtle Beach, DC, Atlantic City, LA, Chicago, and probably a couple more I'm forgetting.
I’m really good at
Building computers, random trivia, the Konami code. I also know Atlanta pretty well at this point and have a giant list of awesome bars, restaurants, clubs, activities, museums and interesting spots.

Recently got back into cooking after not doing it for years, and I have to say I think I'm kinda awesome at it. My pasta carbonara will rock your face off. If desserts are more your thing I also make a mean Nutella turnover.
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably my eyes, I get more comments about that than anything else.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Food: Italian and Mexican are probably favorites, but my mom raised me with the philosophy of "how do you know you don't like it if you've never tried it?" so I'll give pretty much anything a shot. I'm also perfectly happy with fried chicken or a bowl of pho, and nothing beats a good cheeseburger.

Music: Mostly punk rock, electronic stuff, and indie rock with a dash of hip-hop, mostly it depends on what mood I'm in and what I've heard on 88.5 recently. Favorites include Bad Religion, They Might Be Giants, Idlewild, The Pixies, Reverend Horton Heat, Tune-Yards, Fantomenk, 80Kidz, Cunninlynguists, Nirvana, Dead Kennedys, Me First and the Gimmie Gimmies, Misfits, Busdriver, MC Paul Barman, Mouse on Mars, Tool, Suzanne Vega, The Hives, Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, Operation Ivy, Tenacious D, Tonedeff, Extended F@mm, Gift of Gab, Devo, Descendants, Outkast, Mindless Self Indulgence, Beastie Boys, Pantera, old Metallica.

Movies: Favorite movie of all time is currently a tie between Schizopolis and Brick. EDIT: new contender The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford has entered the fight. Also Willy Wonka (the original), Goonies, Breakfast Club, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, LOTR, Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice, Once Were Warriors, Swimming With Sharks, both clubs (Breakfast and Fight), anything by Terry Gilliam, Kevin Smith, Charlie Kaufman, Monty Python, Quentin Tarantino, and a whole bunch of others.

Just kidding, Crank 2 is the greatest cinematic achievement of mankind.

Books: Illuminatus! Trilogy, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series, Discworld series, Devil in the White City, Dark Tower series, Good Omens, American Gods, Principia Discordia, Animal Farm, 1984, Neuromancer, Snow Crash and anything else by Neal Stephenson, Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow (though Orson Scott Card is a dick), anything by Roald Dahl, Sherlock Holmes, Harry Potter, Fight Club, Poe, Hunter S. Thompson, Song of Ice and Fire series.

TV: Currently into Futurama, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, 30 Rock, The Office, Community, Louie, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Adventure Time, Archer, Daily Show
The six things I could never do without
1) internet 2) music 3) video games 4) friends 5) coffee 6) sleep
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Damn near everything, my brain loves tangents.
On a typical Friday night I am
There is no such thing as "typical". Can be anything from going to a movie, getting drinks at a bar, going to a party, chatting online with friends, playing video games. Sometimes it's a combination like going to Movie Tavern and drinking at a movie with friends, or going to Battle n Brew and playing video games while drinking with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm generally a normal law-abiding citizen now, but from high school to college I had some....adventures. That's about as specific as I'm going to get right now
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 22–38
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
I have a giant list of stuff I've never done or haven't done in a long time and I'm looking for people to go on adventures with. I don't even consider it a date really, at least not the first meeting. That's more of a "is this person a closet psycho" evaluation, and if I'm paying it's only because it's my idea. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind if it did grow into friendship or something more, but mostly I just want to do fun things with new people.
