My self-summary
WHO AM I? . . . I'M BATMAN!! "Wait, uh, just-a-sec, gotta step outta character!"

*Let's kick this party off by saying that I view myself as both stable in my career, and overall very goal-oriented.

*I enjoy making people laugh. "Did you hear the one about the convict who had an allergy? ...He broke out!!"

*I (like to think I) am intelligent and can carry on meaningful conversations. I mean, "I'm very important. I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany" (name that movie "classic" without the Google assist)!

*If you think the best flavor of girl scout cookies is anything but Samoa then we might be doomed from the start...

*I feel there has to be mutual physical attraction for there to be good chemistry between two people. So that means fitness and an attractive appearance are important qualities to me in a person (trust me, I know this goes both ways).

*If Dallas is your favorite team and you bleed silver and blue prepare for a...difference of opinion come this September, haha (HTTR!!).

*Having some similar interests helps–a few things I enjoy are fine dining (with DC's seemingly infinite options), walking at the beach at night (cheesy but true!), dancing (like nobody's watching), catching movies, travelling, working out/running races, trips to local hot spots, romantic nights at home, and having an overall blast together. . .

***THE DIRTY DETAILS***

I'm a huge proponent of being physically active, be it lifting, running, playing sports, hiking, or essentially anything that gets ya movin' and your heart rate pumpin', and I'm hoping to find a person who shares a similar passion! I generally lift about five days a week, but I ain't one of those who slacks on his cardio either! I do the occasional 5K or Mud Run when friends are going and I've got a free weekend, so if you're into that scene I'd love to join ya (finished my first Goruck Challenge and have a few Tough Mudder's under my belt).

I've been fortunate enough to have been given opportunities to travel to a variety of places both around the US and abroad, but there are still tons of spots I wanna check out and take in! Looking for someone who shares similar views as the world is a big place and there's so much to see!

I'm an avid subscriber in the "glass half-full" and "everything happens for a reason" philosophies and try to do all I can to find the positive spin on whatever situation arises as things could always be far worse. I attempt to live everyday as though it ended with an exclamation point, because, well, life is exciting!! I'm hoping to come across someone who shares a similar attitude, as it really does make all the difference in how you approach the day.

Taking in music is a pretty big part of my life, whether it be live at a show, blasting through speakers at home, or pumping through the headphones at the gym. I'm into most everything from EDM to Punk, Hip-Hop to Jazz, Rock to Pop. I'm a total sucker for someone who knows her stuff when it comes to being passionate about her tunes.

I'm looking for someone who can push me towards striving for greatness and for me to bring about those same feelings in her. A woman who carries an intensity and passion in both work and play, but at the same time knows when it's time to kick back and relax as things wind down. Spontaneity and humor are huge turn-ons, so it'd be great to meet someone who's comfortable with herself. You also have to be A-OK dating a guy who more than occasionally feels the need to sing along to tunes in the car (bonus points for joining in)! To put it plainly, if you're rocking a great smile, a great attitude, and have an interest in trying new things, I have no doubt we'll hit it off! In that case, shoot me a wink and let's see what happens!

PS: It REALLY helps if you're a fan of pizza. Grilled chicken, fruit, and veggies may get me through the week, but I LIVE for the occasional slice or two (just kidding....maybe).
What I’m doing with my life
Catching bad guys, saving children from burning buildings, flying around the world at lightning speeds...you know, the usual.

"Wait, you're telling me you're unconvinced? Well alright then..."

I'm twenty-nine, former military, graduated from ODU in Criminal Justice (with plans to begin a Graduate program in 2014), and currently work Diplomatic Security in DC. "What's that", you ask? Well if I told ya, I'd have to, um,....just kidding, haha!
I’m really good at
Air guitar ("Boy, can he "shred"!"), taking down a whole pizza in less than ten minutes while retaining my classy composure the throughout, singing along to 90's radio hits (when the Montell Jordan drops you best watch out!), fixing a mean peanut butter sandwich (just say "NO" to jelly!), and getting away with speeding on the highway on the regular by constantly avoiding the coppers (knock on wood)!
The first things people usually notice about me
My chrome dome, haha! I just never really got along with my hair, so I've always kept it on a pretty tight leash.

Hmmm, I wonder if I was supposed to say "dashing good looks" here?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
BOOKS: I'll admit I've been slacking in this department lately and fallen behind in keeping up with modern lit. I was last working on some oldies-but-goodies like the Stephen King "Dark Tower" series and rereading "Ender's Game", and I'm a good ways into The Maze Runner right now, but if you're looking for someone to discuss something current on The NYT Best Sellers list I might need some time to play catch-up. Sounds like someone needs a Kindle, haha!

MOVIES: A few favs are "Die Hard" (BEST.MOVIE.EVER), "Anchorman", "Serenity", "Silver Linings Playbook", "300", "Taken", "Garden State", "The Departed", "The Count of Monte Cristo", "Braveheart", "The Shawshank Redemption", "Scott Pilgrim vs the World", "Gladiator", and "The Notebook" (yup, I eat up pretty much every Rachel McAdams sappy romance).

SHOWS: My number-one is the Jack Bauer epic "24". Other spicy numbers from over the years are "The Wire", "Breaking Bad", "Firefly", "Spartacus", "The Shield", "Six Feet Under", "Deadwood", "House of Cards", "Orange is the New Black", "Friday Night Lights", "Justified", "Battlestar Galactica", "Mad Men", "The Sopranos", "Lost", "West Wing", "Rescue Me", "The Newsroom", "Game of Thrones", "The Americans", "Homeland", "True Detective", and "Brooklyn Nine-Nine".

MUSIC: Rather than list specific bands, I'll just say I'm open to most genres and styles of music, but if I have to choose only one to identify with, it'd be "punk". I'm extremely passionate about finding and discovering new artists while continuing to take in those that I'm already a fan of, so I'm almost always down for a great live show or checking out a band recommendation from someone.

FOOD: I'm generally game for anything with few exceptions. I love a night out on the town for fine dining, but can be equally satisfied tag-teaming with a special someone to prep an awesome meal for two at home!
The six things I could never do without
1. My Family and Friends: Did I dot my "I's" and cross my "T's" enough by putting this next on the list, haha? Pretty standard and obvious, sure, but nevertheless absolutely true. I was blessed to grow up with fantastic parents and siblings, and I wouldn't trade them for anything in the world. I'm also very lucky to have some great people I can call "friend" who help make life...interesting to say the least!

2. My Heath: I don't have a strict diet I follow other than "everything in moderation" and "be smart about what you eat". It's very important to me to that one keeps a healthy, active lifestyle and treats one's body with respect as it'll in turn reap the benefits.

3. My IPOD: Without this in my life the car and the gym would be a whole lot less fun. I mean, how else are you supposed to appease a spontaneous notion to sing along to "Everlong" at the top of your lungs on a late night highway drive?

4. My Car: I know tons of people get around just fine without a set of wheels...I'm just not one of those people. I love the feeling of freedom and being able to pick up and go when I please. And while that freedom comes at a cost ($$$), it's definitely worth it!

5. Five Guys: While I don't eat here too often (each bite brings me that much closer to a heart attack), I'm a sucker for a well-done burger. As a self-appointed connoisseur of all things beef and cheese there is no better place for that than here.

6. Vans Shoes: While I'm not generally a guy who puts a tremendous emphasis on specifics when it comes to clothes (as long as I walk out the door looking like a larger-than-life stud then "mission accomplished", haha), I do love me a high quality pair of skate shoes when rocking something casual.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to continue to move forward in my life, be it relationships, my professional career, and furthering my education. I'm always seeking to better myself, and turning that passion and sense of motivation into actual "plans-in-motion" is the challenging part.
On a typical Friday night I am
There is no "typical Friday night" for me any more these days. "Seeing a live show", "working out at the gym", "hanging out with friends", "on the road for weekend plans", or "catching up on TV from earlier in the week" all apply depending on what's going on.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
When I was a wee little laddie I broke my nose. You might think "so what, nothing special"...well it IS with the reason being that I broke it getting hit by a car. As you sit and ponder how one gets hit by a car and the only thing mentioned is a broken nose lemme fill in one key detail: The car was parked (yeaaaaaaa, haha).
