My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Athletic, genuine, caring, educated, and independent. I am fun and drama-free and like people who are equally ambitious and busy.

I live and work in DC, do CrossFit and primarily eat paleo.

Disclaimer: I'm open to new friendships to explore common interests and activities, but my range of attraction is very limited to guys who are extremely fit/ripped/jacked, whatever you want to call it. I like well defined abs, arms, chest, back and legs :)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working in DC, doing CrossFit, going to concerts, sleeping, cooking, eating, spending time with my 5 year old nieces. Also like mountaineering, hiking, road biking, mountain biking, snowboarding, ice climbing and rock climbing.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Buying grass fed and pastured meat from local farmers.

Squats and dead lifts. I don't lift very heavy, but try to always have impeccable form.
The first things people usually notice about me

My eyes, or my arms.

Music: Metal. I love going to concerts and metal festivals and the 70,000 Tons of Metal cruise. It is the best week of the year!

Some of my favorite bands (most of which I have seen live) include:
Amon Amarth, Death Angel, Blind Guardian, Uli Jon Roth, Fear Factory, Epica, Killswitch Engage, Arch Enemy, Manowar, Rhapsody, Slayer, Overkill, Exodus, Testement, Wrathchild America, Kix, Nightwish, After Forever, Michael Schenker, Rainbow, Accept, Dio, DRI, Anthrax, Iron Maiden, Saxon, WASP, Suicidal Tendencies, Sepultura, Spinal Tap, Nuclear Assault, Helloween, Metal Church, Megadeth, Metallica..... and many many more.

Movies: I hardly ever watch movies anymore. There's just always something better to be doing. But some one of my favorites are Cereal Killers, In Search of the Perfect Human Diet, Touching the Void, Metal: A Headbangers Journey, Supersize Me, Food Inc, The Motorcycle Diaries, Heavy Metal in Baghdad.

Books: Sex at Dawn. Read it, or at least watch the TED Talk. Everything Primal and Paleo, but I mostly listen to podcasts now, instead of reading.

Food: I have an extremely healthy diet. I have not eaten fast food in over 15 years. I don't drink soda or any sweetened beverages. I do remain flexible while traveling and visiting friends and family. I think that eating should be enjoyable and social whenever possible.

I have been eating mostly Paleo for the past few years. Meat, veggies, fruit, seeds and nuts.. YUM!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Heavy Metal, mountains, CrossFit, grass-fed beef, organic veggies.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Sex at Dawn: The Prehistoric Origins of Modern Sexuality by Christopher Ryan

“No group-living nonhuman primate is monogamous, and adultery has been documented in every human culture studied- including those in which fornicators are routinely stoned to death. In light of all of this bloody retribution, it's hard to see how monogamy comes "naturally" to our species. Why would so many risk their reputations, families, careers- even presidential legacies- for something that runs against human nature? Were monogamy an ancient, evolved trait characteristic of our species, as the standard narrative insists, these ubiquitous transgressions would be infrequent and such horrible enforcement unnecessary.
No creature needs to be threatened with death to act in accord with its own nature.”
― Christopher Ryan, Sex at Dawn: The Prehistoric Origins of Modern Sexuality

“Nor do the females of our closest primate cousins offer much reason to believe the human female should be sexually reluctant due to purely biological concerns. Instead, primatologist Meredith Small has noted that female primates are highly attracted to novelty in mating. Unfamiliar males appear to attract females more than known males with any other characteristic a male might offer (high status, large size, coloration, frequent grooming, hairy chest, gold chains, pinky ring, whatever). Small writes, "The only consistent interest seen among the general primate population is an interest in novelty and variety...In fact," she reports, "the search for the unfamiliar is documented as a female preference more often than is any other characteristic our human eyes can perceive.”
― Christopher Ryan, Sex at Dawn: The Prehistoric Origins of Modern Sexuality

“In The Moral Animal, Robert Wright laments, "A basic underlying dynamic between men and women is mutual exploitation. They seem, at times, designed to make each other miserable."

Don't believe it. We aren't designed to make each other miserable. This view holds evolution responsible for the mismatch between our evolved predispositions and the post-agricultural socioeconomic world we find ourselves in. The assertion that human beings are naturally monogamous is not just a lie; it's a lie most Western societies insist we keep telling each other.”

On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
There is no such thing as a typical Friday night.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I've very scent-sensitive. I can't stand to be around perfume or strong after-shaves, deoderants etc.... I also never want to offend anyone by telling them this, so I thought it would be better to put it here instead lol!

You think we actually have enough in common to have fun conversation, and if you are really interested in meeting. I'm not much into on-line chats. It would be really nice if someone suggested something other than "hanging out." Not that I'm opposed to that, it seems like there's a big cool world out there.
