My self-summary
Darren is socially awkward, enjoys long walks in a virtual world and is very much fond of the smell of cheese pizza, If you find two or more similarities, then why not drop him a message? If not then you are sad and we have no desire to speak with you further.
What I’m doing with my life
Practically nothing! Well, aside from education (which is nearing it's end and university is just on the horizon) there isn't a whole lot I'm doing--

Ehem, what I meant to say was that I am currently travelling the world atop a golden tiger with a trident in one hand and an android phone in the other. I'm only on here to kill time as my loyal mount jumps continents with one magnificent leap. It's chilly btw.
I’m really good at
Being sarcastic and leaving things till last minute and somehow managing to pull it off...

Woo!
The first things people usually notice about me
The aura of social awkwardness which hangs in the air like rotten fish and whale urine. Not mixed together of course, that'd be disgusting.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Anything with psychological elements and a scathing social critique. Examples include Jospeh Conrad's Heart of Darkness and Sylvia Plath's The Bell Jar.

Of course I enjoy comic books and graphic novels. To which I'm a lot more flexible with my choice of genre.

Movies
I've seen too many films to count and way too many to pick favorites. It's likely something you'll have to ask me in person. However the standouts are practically any Terry Gilliam film, and any film that is based off a comic book. My preferred genre is fantasy but I also enjoy something if it's technically well done. This may make for dull reading so I'll just offer my highlights of 2014 which were Edge of Tomorrow (Live.Die.Repeat), Transcendence and Lego Movie.

I also enjoy Anime Films such as:
End of Evangelion
Ponyo
Ghost in the Shell
Paprika
Grave of the Fireflies
Princess Mononoke

Shows:
Breaking Bad
Dexter
Misfits
The Mighty Boosh
Red Dwarf
Archer
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Sherlock
Doctor Who

Music:
I'm fluctuating between two artists. Bo Burnham (talented comedian and performer) and the band Steam Powered Giraffe who I greatly recommend.

Food:
......ALL THE FOOD!
The six things I could never do without
1. Oxygen
2. Food
3. Water
4. Shelter
5. Games
6. Games

(I do realize that is technically only five reasons, but I believe that games are so important that they needed to be mentioned a second time for good measure.)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Where my life is going, what I will accomplish, who will I still have by my side when that happens. I'll admit I rarely have positive thoughts about the future, which is why I actively try to occupy myself.
On a typical Friday night I am
At home either playing games, watching anime or chatting with friends on Skype. Nothing particularly special.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
.....come closer
.........closer
..............a bit more

....I'm Santa.
You should message me if
1. You want to chat and be friends, because you can never have enough friends.
2. You want to chat and be something a little more than friends, because that's cool too.
3. You want to chat and reveal to me that you are a mystical smack-talking dwarf, which I will admit will cause some problems but I'm sure we can work something out.
