My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Four years ago I was a strong Christian studying to be a High School drama teacher in Brisbane. Today I'm a liberal atheist who's living in Melbourne and am a fully qualified massage therapist, having the time of my life. (I did actually teach for a year, but it turns out that I hate teenagers in groups. Kind of a drawback in a high school)

I stage manage a couple of live comedy panel shows in my spare time: That Sexy Show (like Spicks and Specks, but about sex) and Alan Smithee's Screen Test (same again, but about film and TV).

I'm a feminist and like talking about the representation of women in today's media and video games. I think things are improving, but definitely still have a ways to go!

I like board games, but definitely can't stand Monopoly!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Massage has been an interest of mine for several years and I now have my cert IV and am working towards a diploma of remedial massage. So far it's an interesting mix of cool anatomy facts (did you know that there's muscles which some people just don't have? That's insane!) and bits of pseudo-science which I'm trying to ignore (don't stand on someone's left side while massaging their abdomen. You'll drain their energy. Seriously).

I help teach an impro class in the city on Monday nights. I love teaching when the class is full of people who are actually interested (and paying!) to be there. It's great fun!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Knowing where lost things are. Except the Holy Grail, having a bit of trouble with that one.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That my second toe is slightly longer than my big toe, that I still have all my wisdom teeth... Oh, and that my favourite pokemon is Gyarados. People are always noticing that.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Like Young Neil said in Scott Pilgrim Vs The World: "That's kind of a big question".

I'll just mention these names: Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, Joss Whedon, John Green, Amanda Palmer, Bioware, Bethesda.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Something to distract me during tram trips into the city: I'd prefer a good conversation, but will accept books or my kindle. As a last resort I'll take crazy people who spend the trip screaming at their shoes.

2. People who indicate when they're changing lanes. I love those guys!

3. Humour: I prefer books and movies that make with a bit of humour and I know many of my friends through stand-up comedy.

4. My Pebble watch which saves me the inconvenience of looking at my phone when I get a text message. Who has time for that?

5. Science combined with mundane items: toothbrush + science = vibrating teeth cleaner. Oven + science = science oven. The possibilities are endless!

6. My nearly perfect human disguise.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The stupid things our current government are doing "on our behalf".

What I can do to make the front page of Reddit. I crave useless internet points.

What my muscles are doing underneath my skin. It's a byproduct of studying massage and anatomy, and something I find fascinating.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Ideally: boardgames/movies at home or drinks with friends at a pub where the music's not too loud to talk over. The clubbing experience is not for me.

Perfecting my human disguise.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I read profiles from the bottom up. They're just more interesting that way.
