For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating

Doesn’t have kids
I moved over to Melbourne a few years ago to experience the
adventures of living in a new city.
Whilst I love to have fun (I tend to be a bit of prankster), I also
really enjoy having intelligent and philosophical conversations
with those I hang out with.
I consider myself being loyal, a good listener and someone with
whom almost anyone can get along with. I have a strong sense of
compassion, and whilst I like to hear different sides, am also very
much steeped in reality. As much as I am career driven, I am a firm
believer that we're all on a journey and that there is a lot more
to life than just sheer material gains.
I've done a certain degree of travelling. But the more I do, the
more I realise there's so much more to do.
I Love learning about foreign cultures, their traditions, histories
and if possible, even their languages (as much as I can).
I'm also a firm believer in keeping fit and make it a point to go
to the gym at least 3-4 times a week as a I feel the need for both
mental and physical stimuli.
I think I can move to the groove, but having done the whole
pub/club thingy am looking for different experiences/adventures
rather than the dreaded sat/sun morning hangovers :) .
As cheesy as it sounds, I guess I'm here looking for someone to
compliment this journey called life in a more meaningful way.
What I’m doing with my life
I guess as a Job, I'm currently in the field of Recruitment. It's
got it's highs and lows, but It's fulfilling when you you're really
getting someone that role that they really really want.
I’m really good at
Listening and giving an objective view of things. I guess I'm just
a pragmatist and "keeping things real" (no matter if they be just
an acquaintance or a close family member, I'm one who has the
ability to skip past the formalities really quickly and see things
for how they are).
The first things people usually notice about me
It's the way I laugh. I've often been told that I have a highly
infectious laugh and that I do have that ability to see the funny
things in really silly things that get other people laughing
without really knowing why as well.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I like different types of books from Espionage to Sci-fi to
Biographies. The last book that took my breath away was Shantaram.
I don't think I've read a book where I felt I could taste the
environment - guess Gregory Roberts is just a lyrical maestro to do
that! I've recommended this book to everyone I've come across.
The six things I could never do without
This is tough! "NEVER" is too long a time period and too big a call
- (I do think if put in a situation where I don't have any of this,
I'll still make do). The 6 points below are more or less what I'm
most used to having:
1) My close friends and family
2) The Sun
3) Clarity of thought and my senses
4) The Net
5) Good Docos
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Life, existence, what this all means and where it's all going :).
On a typical Friday night I am
I either having a couple of drinks with some friends, catching up
for dinner, just staying home and watching some dvd's if I've got
an early morning start. I do tend to hit the town from time to
time. BUT, I am trying to cut it down.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
(TOUGH! - But here goes.)
Is that I can be somewhat scattered at times. e.g. I spent 15
minutes looking for my business pants realising only upon standing
in front of my bathroom mirror that I was wearing it. Silly huh!
You should message me if
You're an easy going girl with drive, a sense of compassion,
looking for someone to expand your mind with and enjoy keeping fit.
