My self-summary
I'm a photographer and an information junkie. Can chat with you for hours about almost anything, but I would be easily bored If you couldn't entretain me with cool data. A pet lover, an avid music researcher, a Julie Andrews fan, and very fond of any kind of gaming. Open-minded and talkative. Maybe a little bit hyperactive. Could google stuff for living (try me), and the type of girl who you would want to call if your lights goes out (because I could fix it, you silly). You definitely would love to have me around when the zombie apocalypse starts.
What I’m doing with my life
Redesigning my career for improvements, choosing a course to get a Master degree, and taking a chance in the entrepreneurship path. Meanwhile, to entretain myself I write, play the guitar, attend to parties, fill my head with huge loads of info and cuddle with my cat.
I’m really good at
Cooking, fixing things, chess, poker, writing, dealing with people (but being with people does bother me sometimes), resolving problems, coaching, learning, aesthethical choices and theorethical debates in general. And taking pictures, of course. I also happen to be a photography teacher.
The first things people usually notice about me
Maybe my clothes or glasses, once I´m a fashion aware kind of woman - Usually you´ll see me wearing hipsterish apparel. People usually tell me that I have a profound gaze (must be that Scorpio thing).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
It's hard to number favorites, so I´ll talk about what is catching my attention right now:
For books, I´m re-reading Fernando Pessoa´s Livro do Desassossego, reading some business titles, a book about poker and another one about medieval alchemists. Oh. And comic books/manga - a lot of them, as it's usual to me. Batwoman and Vagabond are the first titles that comes to my mind.
I´m listening to a lot of jazz and 50's rock, vintage samba, bossa nova; also putting to test some early 00's kinda-indie bands - Veronica Falls, Imagine Dragons, Metronomy, Tame Impala, Escort, Camera Obscura.
I don´t have a tv for about 11 years now for ideological reasons, so I don´t have the habit of watching tv shows. The great exception: Game of Thrones. Actually I do use the web to catch up with some japanese animes.
I´m a fan of old movies and cult movies in general. The last one that I saw was Stranger Than Fiction (once again), not so "cult" but one of my lifetime favorites.
For food, right now I'm trying to get good at persian cuisine. I have a huge collection of spices at my kitchen, and love to experiment with ethnic food in general. My all-times specialities though are indian and japanese food.
The six things I could never do without
Coffee, good music, coffee, chimarrão (a drink also called yerba mate), all my 980987 hardware tools and my alarm clock (you don't know a heavy sleeper until you meet me, I mean it)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Future, money, plans, art, girls, work, self-improvement - not always in this order
On a typical Friday night I am
Maybe out with friends, maybe engaging in a personal project all night long
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Despite of my apparent extrovert nature, I'm in some degree a bit insecure when I actually fall in love... and tend to focus my attention in impossible platonic crushes also. How typical for a geek can I get?
You should message me if
You feel like chatting and think you can feed my mind. It eats like a dragon, and it likes almost anything.
