My self-summary
I tend to get passionately interested in a subject and learn everything I can about it. My current fascinations are dark roast coffee, camping gear, improv comedy, mindfulness, yoga, and softball. Something new could grip my curiosity tomorrow, and I like that.

But my enduring love is for learning, and most of my effort is spent as graduate student studying Cognitive Science. I have managed to cheat the ubiquitous breadth vs. depth trade-off by focusing my Ph.D. research on analogy and metaphor. I am fueled by discovering connections between seemingly unrelated things.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to find balance between accumulation and minimalization.
I’m really good at
analytic thinking and playing with ideas. But I also feel strongly, and have been exploring connecting with people based on emotions rather than abstractions. That's right ladies: I'm strong AND sensitive.
The first things people usually notice about me
my laugh or the twinkle in my eye. I have a terrible poker face and whatever I am thinking is usually blatantly obvious, for better or worse.
