My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
A transplant (like so many in this city), but I think I'm here for quite awhile.

I only hit snooze once in the morning and sometimes not at all.
Sometimes I go for a run, other times I smoke a cigarette.
I finish books that I start.
I have a weakness for tequila, but my standard drink order is an Old Fashioned.
I travel overseas quite a bit as my family lives in Germany/Switzerland.
I'm taking a German class now to brush up my skrillz in that arena.
I enjoy making holiday cards to send to all of my friends, but this past year I didn't send them until July (wompwompwomp).
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I teach little humans how to function in the world (I'm a preschool teacher).
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
-functioning while jet-lagged.

-whistling.

My mermaid hair and my apple-bottom jeans.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: I'm pretty into contemporary fiction. But, I also have worked at a few bookstores over the years and my interest range has widened because of it. I'm always reading a book -- right now it's American Gods by Neil Gaiman, before that East of Eden by Steinbeck.

Movies: I'm sorry to all you film buffs, but I'm not picky. My favorite B-list horror movie is The Descent, if that tells you anything.

Shows: Breaking Bad. Everything else is second-tier and not worth mentioning. Except West Wing.

Music: I do love some 90's hiphop, rap, and boom bap. De La Soul, Big Pun, and Nice & Smooth are being consistently played these days. Pete Philly and Perquisite, Tor, RJD2, Ratatat, and Girltalk make me tap my foot. Justin Timberlake. TI. Big Boi. Frank Ocean. Johnny Polygon.
St. Vincent, Cold Speck, Paul Simon and Joni Mitchell. Mountain Man, Glasser, The Tallest Man on Earth. Jose Gonzalez.
I think maybe one consistent genre that gets played in a variety of moods and times is Jazz. Nothing really past the 70's/80s though...lots of Ella, Django, Bill Evans, and the like.

Food: It's yummy.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. My passport.
2. Clothing that makes me warm in the winter.
3. The kind of book that is so good the pages turn on their own
4. Creativity (not necessarily my own)
5.The feeling of Sunday morning laziness
6. More warm clothing.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How do I say that in German?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Meh, I don't like this question. Check out this creepy thing I just saw: http://www.wired.com/2014/09/ahhh-baby-no/#slide-id-1507801
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

Ask me the difference between a sheep and a goat and I will need to pause before I answer. Always, without fail, I need a moment to think.
