My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I've never been one for having end-all-be-all role models, but there are pieces of characters that I find hugely appealing. So I looked through popular culture for people that stood out to me (males as personal role-models, females as dating prospects), and here's what I noticed:

Male Icons. Representing authority, command, leadership, support and listening, decisiveness even with non-ideal information, loyalty to one's circle, wisdom and maturity, strong and foundational principles, immortality (of life or impact), martial & sword skill, centeredness, push for understanding and transcendence, non-violent and creative/open-minded solutions, audacity, power, top-notch physical fitness, sexual prowess and openness, man-geisha skills
1. Picard (Patrick Stewart) in Star Trek: TNG
2. Duncan MacLeod (Adrian Paul) in Highlander
3. Daniel Jackson (Michael Shanks) in Stargate
4. Hector (Eric Bana) in Troy
5. Gannicus (Dustin Clare) in Spartacus: Gods of the Arena
6. Sean (Dustin Clare) in Satisfaction

Female icons. Representing self-confidence and competence, independence, physical fitness, grace/body-coordination, sexy attitude, perseverance through adversity, tenacity, martial skill, empathy and flow with one's partner, fiery & dangerous (to others), inquisitive, sense of wonder, special and unique/rare, sets high goals, sexually open
1. Mrs Smith (Angelina Jolie) in Mr and Mrs Smith
2. Aphrodite (Alexandra Tydings) in Hercules: The Legendary Journeys
3. Nikita (Maggie Q) in Nikita
4. Guinevere (Keira Knightley) in King Arthur
5. Kamala (Famke Janssen) in Star Trek: TNG
6. Phoenix (Famke Janssen) in X-Men
7. Quorra (Olivia Wilde) in Tron: Legacy
8. Jane (Natalie Portman) in Thor
9. Emma (Natalie Portman) in No Strings Attached
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I have 4 primary pursuits that I'm developing (at one stage or another) into professions: 1) High science and innovation in either bio-engineering, regenerative medicine, virtual reality, or healthcare; 2) Aikido (martial arts) and Sword Fighting; 3) Ballroom and Salsa dancing; 4) Fantasy novel-writing.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
One of my gay guy friends describes me as "having piercingly blue eyes that reach out into your soul and caress it". I like that :-)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time, Tolkien's Lord of the Rings
Movies: Action, Science Fiction, Fantasy
Music: Celtic, New Age, anything dance-able
Food: Whatever's filling and available, particularly italian-type food.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Symbols that go beyond 3D. A powerful, complete, representation that can swoop thru the air and hit you with a perfect understanding or perspective...like playing a life story of an object at blurring speed so you got it all in an instant. Words, by comparison, are a paltry form of communication

Education. How to always push people to learn and be challenged. Adults included, though recently I've been thinking more the child-variety. Not a fan of the current school system. I want a more rigorous, life-based education. I imagine my friends and I each taking a day of the week and walking a large group of our children about parks and nature, teaching them how it all works. Math is a perfect example; take it out of the classroom and think applied. Then people would LOVE math. B/c it's powerful and cool. P.S> this children talk is theoretical - no children for me for a bit
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out dancing, or in with friends. I play most of my evenings by ear, bouncing between dance events and low-key hanging out with friends.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
For friends:
-If you're a dancer, aikidoist, novelist, tennis player, fire-dancer, or kite-surfer, and care to introduce me to your passion and crowd.
-Or if you want someone to go on adventures with.

For relationships:
-You're gifted and looking for something amazing that you aren't finding within the general male population. We set the bar too low for men in society. I'd like to see you raise it.
-You have a burning desire to achieve....something ... that you really care about. I love being around passionate people; the potential for greatness in humanity is extensive, but we often let ourselves get bogged down in the dross.
-You understand the mechanisms of a healthy relationship, can communicate your wants and needs, and are secure in yourself and your worth. There's always more we can improve, so if you're not sure about this one, a desire to make it a priority is sufficient.

FYI - I tend to be most attracted to girls who are athletic, graceful, and/or dancer-like.
