My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Looking for my last first date!

I'm Brian. I am an actor, teacher and fight choreographer. Yep, I teach actors to swordfight. I have a MFA in acting and I am a full-time university professor.

I am also a pretty huge musical theatre geek (yep, and I'm straight!).

I am a wanna-be foodie and love to cook. And yes, I did shamelessly include some food porn in my photo section. Date me and I promise you will eat well!

I am looking for someone who is just as much of a nerd as I am.

I have an unusual talent for being universally loved by cats, dogs and mothers!

My kindness is sometimes mistaken for weakness. This is unfortunate. I have had to go through many things in my life, both positive and negative, all of which have made me a stronger person. I can be tenacious in getting what I want, if I want it badly enough.

I love to travel when time and money allow. Been to London a few times as well as Vegas (always a good getaway destination) and I am getting tired of going by myself. Any takers?

I sometimes tend toward the shy side, especially when I am around new people, but once I get to know you, I am quite the chatty one. When interviewed on "Inside the Actor's Studio", Mike Myers referred to himself as a "site-specific extrovert." This sums me up perfectly. I, like Michael Scott, appreciate a good "that's what she said" joke and am a huge fan of The Office, 30 Rock and The Amazing Race, not mention just about any show on The Food Network.

I consider myself a loyal friend. I will literally give you the shirt off my back if you need it.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Living the dream, i.e. a full time university teaching position! I also freelance as a fight director and stage combat teacher. Currently available for all your theatrical violence needs!

I have also recently started studying Alexander Technique and Fitzmaurice Voicework. I'd be happy to tell you about either!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I am a pretty good cook, if I do say so myself! Recently, I have started cooking my own Indian food and next on the list is Thai. I like to think I am also a good teacher. My father was a teacher and I seem to have inherited that gene. In my humble opinion, I don't think there is any more noble profession! And, not to toot my own horn, have been told I am a pretty good kisser!

How to improve my mind. I love to learn and am almost always reading, studying or researching something.

My past experiences. I have been through much in my life, both good and bad. All of it has contributed to being the person I am today. I believe there is no such thing as coincidence. Things happen because they are supposed to. I have no regrets.

Willing to admit? Hmm.... I would say that I am a hopeless romantic and believe that every pot has its lid!

If I know a telemarketer is calling me, I will sometimes answer the phone, "Buddy the elf! What's your favorite color?"

I never learned how to ride a bike. I know! It's totally crazy! But, despite many many efforts, I have yet to learn. Anyone able to teach me?

Celebrity crush: Audrey Hepburn

I am a Disney fan. Give me Aladdin, Mulan, The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast any day. Also, dream vacation...Disney Cruise. Oh yeah!

Also, I'm a cuddler!

You could be the best friend I fall in love with! While new friends are always nice, I have a lot of friends. I really want a relationship. Don't have too many of those!

Also, I tend to browse profiles from everywhere, not just locally. Maybe it's the hopeless romantic in me, but I like to think that the right person for me may across the world and not across the street. But, that's what airplanes are for! Even though I live in TX, I am looking for work elsewhere, so I might just end up where you live!
