I am bigger than breadbox, a geek, and polyamorous.
My Self-Summary
1971 - Born; Sudbury, Ontario. Soon thereafter, was whisked away to
Montreal, Quebec.
1976 - Parti Quebecois takes power in Quebec, promising to take the
province out of Canada. My family joins the exodus of
English-speakers up Highway 401. We settle in
Brampton, a character-deficient
suburb of
Toronto.
1976-1990 - Watch a lot of
cartoons, draw, play with
Lego. Collect
Mad Magazine, Stephen King
novels, Fighting Fantasy books, comic books. Get introduced to the
Macintosh computer. Don't get out much.
1990-1994 - Attend
Queen's University in
Kingston Ontario. I make some
paintings, and learn how to live on
very little money, as well as how to crank out an essay in three
hours.
1995 - Begin a career in
Computer Animation. Get my
first real apartment.
IKEA rejoices.
1997-2002 - Meet a lovely and charming woman named Karen at a
housewarming party. We fall in love, and wind up shacking up
together...back in Brampton! IKEA rejoices again! We get engaged,
but don't bother to set a date. We also agree to start an
open
relationship, with both of us free to take external
lovers.
2004-2007 - Mostly spent in Southern California, working as a
lighting supervisor on the animated film 'Barnyard', and the
spin-off 'Back at the Barnyard' TV Series. Meet a bunch of cool
folks, thanks to OK Cupid!
2008 - Return to Toronto, to work for Starz Animation.
What I’m doing with my life
Sitting in the dark, working with computer-generated lights.
I am constantly striving to learn new things, so I like to watch
documentaries, and read
non-fiction - mostly
about
history,
cultural
studies...and
conspiracies. Do you like my
tinfoil hat?
I spend a little too much time logged into
Facebook, mostly playing games of
Scramble, Farkle and such.
I also enjoy movies, discovering cool new music, rocking out with
Rock Band, and
board gaming
with friends. I don't care for most current TV shows, but sometimes
tune into
Robot
Chicken,
NOW,
Dexter,
How It's Made, and
Iron Chef.
I’m really good at
Burning
mix CDs,
making computer-generated characters look fabulous, finding stuff
on the
internet,
alphabetizing my
DVDs,
cunnilingus, writing long-winded
diatribes about American foreign policy, balancing spinning plates
on sticks. Oh, and occasionally lying about things that I'm good
at.
The first things people usually notice about me
It's the third eye, isn't it? Don't you know it's not polite to
stare?
My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Movies: Aliens, Amelie, Babe, Baraka, Blade Runner, The Empire
Strikes Back, Fight Club, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Pan's
Labyrinth, The Princess Bride, Pulp Fiction, Run Lola Run, Seven,
Spirited Away, Toy Story 2
Music: 60s R&B, 70s disco, 80s retro, 90s

Cocteau Twins,
Dead Can Dance,
Goldfrapp,

Fields,
Thievery Corporation...a
lot, actually. I have over 100 GB of mp3s.
Foods: Pizza,
pasta,
steak, butter chicken,
chocolate, fruit smoothies, freshly
baked bread, various concoctions from Cold Stone Creamery
The six things I could never do without
Air, bread & water,
orgasms, the freedom to speak my mind,
sleep, music
I spend a lot of time thinking about
False-flag terror attacks, Peak Oil, my debt load....and sex (hey,
we need *some* joy amidst all the bad news).
On a typical Friday night I am
having dinner with my fiance, and watching a film...or maybe
getting together with friends. Or maybe working late.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I'm not a particularly private person. If you have a question, I
will answer it.
You should message me if
...I look interesting to you! I'm not really in the New
Relationship mode at this point in time, but I do love to
chat...and I also like to be surprised.
