In a word, I'm a geek.

Guess I should answer in more than one word though. You know the show 'Freaks and Geeks'? (Which was cancelled after one season since no one watched it), I'm pretty much what the guys in the geeks part would grow up to become. Still, I'd like to believe I'm one of the ones more capable of socializing with people.

I am pretty introverted, but when I do open up (which happens, eventually) I can be good company.

This description is pretty vague, isn't it? Hopefully the rest of the sections will provide a better picture of who I am.

Work in a tech company.

Outside of work, the standard stuff. Meeting friends, reading stuff, watching stuff, playing stuff.
Did some writing, but not lately. Keep thinking about doing some more, but never getting around to it.

Obviously, not at writing profiles in online dating sites.
I'm not bad at work, but who cares about that?

Oh, another thing I'm not good at: Praising myself, so let's move on to the next section.

Books
I don't read a whole lot. I will usually read the new Stephen King novel when it comes out on paperback, and sometimes I'd go browse the thrillers or sci-fi sections at the book store and pick something up.
Also, I read some comic books (I did say I was a geek).

Movies
My taste in movies is not too high-brow. I like silly popcorn movies, and of course the classics that everyone my age should love, if they have a soul: The Princess Bride, Ghostbusters, Die Hard, Groundhog's Day, Back to the Future etc.
I did go to film school, so there is some "better" stuff I like too, like Hitchcock.

Music
Some things I like to listen to, in no particular order:
Aimee Mann, Dire Straits, REM, TV on the Radio, Mumford and Sons, The National, Belle and Sebastian, Okkervil River, Bon Iver, Leonard Cohen, Florence + the Machine, Band of Horses, Explosions in the Sky, Wilco, Talking Heads, Suzanne Vega.

Food
I could go for thai, or sushi.

TV
A lot. Seriously, a whole lot.
Current favorites include: Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Mad Men, The Americans, Elementary, Doctor Who, Parks and Rec.

Some hall of famers:
The Wire, Deadwood, various Joss Whedon shows, Fringe, Terriers, The West Wing, Freaks and Geeks, Arrested Development.

1. Good narratives. Be it from TV, books, movies, or any other storytelling medium.
2. Computer
3. Internet (as a reading material).
4. Human interaction (Even introverts need some)

And now I see why a lot of people use the breathing, eating, joke in this section. Can't think of another two right now.

The last thing I read, played, watched.
Replaying conversations in my head to make them better than they actually were.

No real typical Friday activity for me. Whatever comes up.

As I said in the sidebar there, I want kids. Mostly, it's because I genuinely think I will be a good father, and, well, the usual reasons people want to have kids.
But, I have to admit, there's a small part of me that wants kids because I want to see what happens if I can avoid the annoying kids oriented music that everyone is trying to sell parents, and instead just play the music I like (see above for details) around the kids from the time they get home.
In other words, I want to see if I can engineer a hipster. That would be an interesting experiment. Don't you think?

I don't know if you looked in the questions tab, but if you did, you probably noticed that I answered a lot of questions. No, I mean a LOT.
Part of that is that I was registered on this site a long time before I actually started using it for dating. In that time, I mostly played around with the tests, and I also liked the whole questions concept, so over the course of a couple of years I just answered a lot of them.
Anyway, if you decide to read over some of the questions, I would suggest using the filters a little.
I would suggest, for example, looking for questions where we disagree, to see if we can have some fun arguments. Or looking at questions where there are explanations.
Yes, just as I can write never-ending answers to essay questions, I can also write over-long explanations to some of the match questions. I'm multi-talented that way.

I've been thinking about getting a cat. I haven't yet, for all sorts of good or at least semi-good reasons, but it's a thought that comes up every once in a while.
I do have to admit that one not so good reason I didn't get a cat yet is that I learned a while ago that only 25% of ginger cats are female, and I have the perfect name for a cat, but it only really works for a female ginger.
