My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a lot of things that don't generally end up packaged together and I have no idea if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Unfortunately they don't put "1930's pugilist" under body type. I'd say that describes me rather well in stature as well as demeanor. I can be a bit reserved at first until I realize you're a decent person and/or not easily weirded out. I tend to like people who are neither mature nor immature but decidedly both.
I lived in Portland for 27 years until I decided to move down here, and so far I think I might just stay.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
- In general:
Arranging little pixelated symbols on a screen into useful configurations for fun and profit.
Deepening my understanding about nearly anything I can, or at least whatever catches my interest (too many (not always useful) things).
Trying to figure out what makes me happy while stepping on as few people in the process as possible.
Avoiding religions, sports, political affiliations, subcultures, etc

- Currently:
Motorcycles: Riding and rebuilding them. Writing javascript and trying to get a company off the ground. Digital painting/vector art. Buying more books faster than I can read them. Working on a video game that will prob never see the light of day.

- Later:
Disbanding into component atoms and eventually being compressed into a gravitational singularity I reckon.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being semi-unpredictable. Repairing stuff. Grasping nuance. Going off on tangents because of said nuance.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
When/if you meet me, you can tell me and I will come back and fill this in.

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I always have a huge stack of books lined up to read, but move through them slowly due to attention span. Despite being a programmer, I shun ebooks.
Last few favorites: John Dies at the End, House of Leaves, Children of the Mind, The Divine Invasion.
I really want to read more Philip K. Dick. Favorite author is H.P. Lovecraft.

I don't like a ton of comics, but love the more counterculture-esque stuff. Doom Patrol, Transmetropolitan, The Invisibles, etc. Deadpool is hilarious. Nearly anything with a cyberpunk or bio-horror element to it. Weird manga = A+.

Cyriak vids, smart horror, anything that contains synthetics/AI waxing philosophical, b-movies, post-apocalyptic stuff, Shaw Bros Kung-fu, spaghetti westerns, abrasively bizarre asian cinema, french movies about existential crises where some dude shaves off his moustache for the first time in 15 years and his wife doesn't notice and so he loses his mind. Basically the more WTF the better, to an extent.

Directors: Terry Gilliam, Davids Lynch & Cronenberg, John Carpenter, Kubrick, Tarantino, blah blah blah.

Animated: Aeon Flux, Adventure Time, The Maxx, Akira, FLCL, Perfect Blue, Evangelion, Ghost In The Shell, Mindgame, Paranoia Agent, Paprika, Cowboy Bebop, Attack On Titan.

Shows: Twilight Zone, The Mighty Boosh, Mitchell and Web, Black Adder, A Bit of Fry and Laurie, Red Dwarf, Twin Peaks, MST3K.

I don't have a good way to describe my tastes. Here's a *[playlist]* that might capture it a bit.
My favorite artist of all time is Foetus/J.G Thirlwell. His musical range/tastes are AMAZING to me, and I love the faux angry machismo character he plays.
My current obsession is stuff like Perturbator. I'm basically stuck on a lot of synth-heavy stuff I find on soundcloud at the moment.

Akira Yamaoka, Cibo Matto, Boards Of Canada, Malice Mizer, Devo, Yma Sumac, Mr. Bungle, Fela Kuti, Kavinsky, Principles Of Geometry, Noir Deco, Justice, Skinny Puppy, Foetus (J.G. Thirlwell), Rudimentary Peni, Shostakovich, old film scores, gypsy/klezmer, eerie/dark ambient, chiptunes, sexy 60's spy film music, exotica.
Overall I'm not much of a fan of the whole "3-5 white dudes with a bass, guitar & some drums" thing and often prefer a lack of vocals.

I'm for it.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
[0] Internet/Laptop
[1] time away from computers
[2] tools
[3] books
[4] hot sauce
[5] wine
[6] tea
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Recursion and the nature of consciousness.
Cognitive bias.
Patriarchy, privilege, and the arbitrary nature of dominant paradigms ( not in the detached abstract academic sense, more so just seeing/listening to the experience of others ).
Why whichever motorcycle I'm working on isn't running properly.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Soaking in a delightful marinade. Covered in bees.

Mostly looking for something to do. I live by myself (and sometimes SpoonyBardess) in Oakland now, and all my good friends are married or whatever and don't socialize much.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You understand that I am not seeking a monogamous partner. I have a partner who I am quite content with and I'm not really a lifestyle polyamorist. I just don't believe in being overly possessive towards people. I'm mostly just looking for friends I can be fairly close with, possibly intimate if things feel right. Having connections with people is p cool tbqh ( ᵕ́ૢ‧̮ᵕ̀ૢ)‧̊·*

Anyways, you probably should say hi if you find me interesting.
Since I know *[THIS]* is probably what it's like to be woman on OKC, I likely won't message you unless it's obvious we have quite a bit in common and/or you rate me or something.
