I am quiet, laid-back, and courtly..

My Self-Summary

I can't summarise myself.

Not just like that.

I'm a complicated person, you see. Sometimes I'm nice, and sometimes I'm NASTY. And sometimes I like to sing little songs, like...

"See the little goblin, see his little feet."

Some might consider quoting a sitcom in this section to be a cop-out, but understanding this reference may well be a plus. Seriously, if you get this and you're not British, you should send me a message simply because I'd be so pleasantly surprised about it.

In any event, I'm probably what most people would refer to as a "geek", in the positive, intellectual, "someone who likes computers and video games and so on" sense rather than the "creepy, unwashed basement-dweller" sense.

My sense of humour is as dry as a sun-bleached skeleton, and sometimes, almost as morbid.

I'm very slow to anger, and on the few occasions that I do get riled up, I tend to simmer down very quickly. That'll be my Jamaican genes kicking in.

I like to consider myself a gentleman, and I'm quite convinced that chivalry is not dead; at least, not entirely so. It might be an addled, malnourished husk of its former self, I grant you, but not dead.

What I’m doing with my life

Taking a year off from university to start a small business. From there, who knows? Depending on how successful it is, I may return to my studies or assume the mantle of "full-time entrepeneur". We'll see what happens.

My main hobby is designing games, although I have considered pursuing this as a career. The major roadblock there is that while being creative is easy enough, being creative to a deadline is a lot more tricky.

Besides that, however, I enjoy experimenting with foreign recipes and idle web-surfing. I also started on a weight-training programme a couple of months ago, and I'm hoping to take keyboard lessons in the near future.

I’m really good at

Not being one to blow one's own trumpet, but that's what this section is for.

I enjoy cooking a great deal, particularly Inidan and Oriental dishes whenever I can get the ingredients. I'm not the most creative or spontaneous of chefs, but give me a recipe to work from and it's a fairly safe bet that I'll produce something good.

Actually, scratch that. It WILL be good unless something goes catastrophically wrong. If my hair catches fire or the cooker explodes, yeah, there might be a problem, but otherwise you're in for some good eating.

I'm a decent writer, or at least I'd like to think so. I might totally suck and not even realise it because of how little exposure I get. However, I mostly write comedy articles or stories for the games I produce; I have yet to attempt a standalone novel or any other such projects. I'd like to one day, though.

I also have a knack for recalling completely inconsequential minor facts and details, which belies my rather unreliable short-term memory. I can remember something unimportant that you muttered to yourself three years ago and bring it up in conversation to embarrass you, but if you ask me what day it is I'll probably have to think about it before I answer.

The first things people usually notice about me

My hair. Then they call me "Bob Marley" and I have to suppress the urge to throttle them.

It becomes more and more difficult every time.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: Most anything in the Discworld series.
Movies: Young Frankenstein, Hot Fuzz, The Dark Knight (as if I need to say it).
Music: Nothing in particular.
Food: Too much to name. I'm an adventurous eater.
TV: Not much of a TV person, but I do enjoy a fair number of British sitcoms; Father Ted, One Foot in the Grave, Blackadder, Fawlty Towers and the like. And QI. Got to have QI.
Video Games: BALDUR'S GATE II OH SO MUCH, Dawn of War, a bunch of fighting games, Kirby Super Star, Fallout.

The six things I could never do without

Presumably we're not counting the big four of "food, water, air and shelter."

OK then.

My PC, the Internet, caffeine, video games, and my dreams.

Six is too many.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

You.

Because I'm after you.

Sleep with one eye open.

On a typical Friday night I am

Batman.

Or asleep.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I don't smoke, but I once ate a cigarette.

I immediately regretted it.

You should message me if

I don't know. Who am I to tell you if you should message me or not? FREEDOM IS THE RIGHT OF EVERY INDIVIDUAL.

(Just do it. I don't bite, except on request.)
