I'm currently doing research for my PhD, and then hoping to find a professorship somewhere, preferably on the East Coast. I like teaching mathematics more than the research, but I would go insane teaching high school. Right now I have a teaching position at CityTech in Downtown Brooklyn.
My wife SheWolf04 and moved back east to New York in the summer of 2014, and love being back here with our friends again. She spent five years and I spent one year with her out in Chicago. While I do love that city, New York is our home.
I finally got a great roleplaying group together, and that is a blast. I also head over to Modern Myths in Mamaroneck on Saturdays for board gaming and occasional RPG one shots. I also try and do some writing in my spare time (sometimes related to my gaming addiction, sometimes just my own random stories). I play video games, mostly RPGs, but I also dabble in DDR, Guitar Hero, and I'm willing to try just about anything if there's fun people involved. I love just sitting around watching movies/TV shows, but also enjoy going out, though I'm not much of one for the bar/club scene. Anywhere with an extensive craft beer list is sure to interest me. I also spend plenty of time studying mathematics, whether for research or just to pass the time.
As for other fun activities, I'm not a terribly physically active person, but that doesn't mean I'm a total couch potato either. I ride my bike places whenever I can, and I love hiking on trails, or playing ultimate. At least I love doing these things with fun company.
