I am contemplative, mischievous, and a scoundrel.

My Self-Summary

I'm looking for guys that are kind, open minded, easy going and who aren't afraid of a little adventure ... whatever that means. When not studying like a mad scientist, you can find me hiking in the woods or near the bay or ocean. I love nature, the outdoors, and am sort of "crunchy". I like good food, going to the movies, and hanging with friends while laughing my ass off.

Unfortunatly, I'm not perfect. And as I'm traversing my 30's I realize there is still so much I haven't done. I keep saying I want to learn to rock climb... but, it hasn't happened. I have so many interests, at times it's hard to focus on one. I recently started volunteering with a wildlife reserve. It's very cool. I can't wait to share it with that special someone.

What I’m doing with my life

I was working in the public out reach department of an astronomical research institution in Mountain View.

I went to Los Angeles, hated it, now I'm back home until I go to Santa Cruz in the winter to finish my BS. Finally!

I’m really good at

... remembering little obscure movie quotes. "Put ze candle back!"

The first things people usually notice about me

I'm not sure anymore. My friends say my eyes. But, isn't that too cliche?

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: The Color Purple, House of the Spirits, The Little Prince. The Tao of Pooh, The Te of Piglet, Dangerous Angels, A Room With A View, Real Boys, Lady Chatterley's Lover, The Hobbit, and many others.

Movies: Fight Club, Goonies, Donnie Darko, A Room With A View, The Color Purple, Psycho Beach Party, Die Mommie Die, Down With Love, House Of the Spirits, Indiana Jones trilogy, and the Star Wars Saga, Lord of the Rings, Kill Bill, A Prelude to a Kiss, Soap Dish, Home For the Holidays, the list goes on and on...

Music: Music is one of my passions, and it's hard to pick ... the soundtrack to Death Proof, The Cardigans, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Stray Cats, Sweeney Todd, and Nouvelle Vague, Dusty Springfield, Sufjan Stevens, M. Ward, Harry Belafonte, Interpol, Cake, Michael Buble, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Bjork, Maroon 5, Foo Fighters, The Pixies and always Fleetwood Mac, Bonnie Raitt, Lauryn Hill, Beatles, Beach Boys, Willie Nelson, KD Lang, and Stevie Nicks, this list actually goes on and on, too!

Food: I could make a long list of foods from different regions or restaurants, but I think I'll simplify it. In any restaurant or if you decide to cook, you can pretty much bet on me getting chicken. I love it. And for dessert, chocolate. Not very surprising or interesting, I know, but the thing is, it's real and it's deep.

The six things I could never do without

Music, water, my journal, trees, the ocean, my pillow

On a typical Friday night I am

usually up for anything. Probably hanging with friends or going to the movies. Next Friday, who knows?

You should message me if

you are a sincere person, who loves nature and/or someone who asks really good questions about life, love, the world.
