What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm at Columbia Law, and I love it. I will talk about how exciting contract theory is if you ask me about it, so maybe we can discuss music?
Before this I was teaching undergrad. Before that I was a lot of things: so-so waiter, decent tutor, epic failure of an entrepreneur (tour-guide business if you were wondering).
Rest of "what I'm doing with life" is about picking up little hobbies and skills then dropping them for new ones before I develop any acumen.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Puns. I will do my best not to make them. I will be thinking them, though.

Also good at political machinations.
And sounding like I know what I'm talking about.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
People often scream "Oh my god is he alright?" so I guess it's my intensity.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Infinite Jest (anything DFW, for that matter), Snow Crash, Notes From the Underground, anything Marquez, The House of the Spirits, anything Rushdie, As I Lay Dying, Lolita, A Farewell to Arms, The Sun Also Rises, If on a Winter's Night a Traveler, The Tropic of Cancer, The Trial, Gulliver's Travels, the Tao Teh Ching, anything Bukowski or Rilke... et cetera.

Music: Indie pop nonsense (really, love it), old-school country (read: Hank Williams, Johnny Cash), blues, classical eastern music, gypsy swing, classic rock, sometime I even dip into jam bands. Allergic to dub-step.

Movies: I like David Lynch, Hitchcock, Wes Anderson and Woody Allen movies pretty consistently. (For exceptions, see "Dune")

Food: Make it spicy!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Here are some things I have learned to greatly appreciate:
1) Sunlight entering a room
2) My bike
3) Good speakers
4) Tea
5) Flirtatious mental sparring
6) Avoiding hyperbole
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Elaborate traps and how I would get out of them.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Certain she is checking me out. She isn't. Damn it. ::Finds a sandwich shop::
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My paradox: I try to take a logical, reasoned approach to most of life's problems; however, I have gone to psychics... and loved it.
