I am Introverted, Extroverted, and Confused.
My Self-Summary
I used to be on here for a while, but foolishly deleted my profile,
so now I have to figure out a capsule summary of what I am like all
over again. Lord, do I feel dumb.
How do you describe yourself in a way that's not just a laundry
list of things you like and dislike, and personality traits you
(and probably only you) think you have? I like cats and toilet
paper and I have a tendancy to over-verbalize. See? What good is
that?
I feel like I should add some more words (on the grounds that OKC
tells me I should add some more words) but I am still not at all
sure of what to say. I prefer jeans to shorts and have tan lines
from my sandals, and one time I swam with stingrays in Grand
Cayman. That was really fun.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm working for the Democrats for the summer, unless something goes
very wrong, so that's fun. I just moved to Amherst, so at the
moment I'm mostly trying to get settled. Other than that, I like to
buy things and sell them for higher prices than those for which I
bought them. I dunno, it's fun to me.
Oh, yeah, and movies, especially old ones, and video games,
especially old ones, and books, especially nerdy ones. Those are
things I do... sort of.
I’m really good at
Staying up late, being supportive, and deconstructing things
The first things people usually notice about me
This is incredibly hard to answer, seriously. I have a lot of
traits I like to think are noteworthy, but I have no idea of what
people think when first they see me. I'd actually really like to
know...
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
The
Great
Gatsby,
Lolita,
1984,
Orwell's non-fiction, Philip
K Dick's books, Ursula LeGuin's books, probably a lot of other
stuff it will later pain me to realize I've forgotten
Lawrence of
Arabia, 2001, Alien,
Stop Making Sense, all the
Coen brothers movies, and an ungodly number of others
Leonard
Cohen, Arcade Fire, Bob Dylan, Elliott Smith, Talking Heads,
the Who, the Beatles (oh my god! how unique!) etc
I am terrible about food and will probably embarass you if you take
me anywhere that doesn't serve steak and chicken fingers
The six things I could never do without
My cat, human contact...
I think I've done without most other things that aren't actually
vital to being alive
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How the hell it is people manage to become grownups without hating
their lives.
On a typical Friday night I am
My weekly schedule isn't predictable enough to answer this question
meaningfully
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I own an Atari Jaguar. I once read most of the Fountainhead. I
spent an entire semester sleeping in an air mattress with a hole in
it.
You should message me if
This is probably the single dumbest prompt on here. Also, you know,
friends only, so if you are desperately searching for a guy to
sleep with, may I suggest the dozens and dozens of guys almost
exactly like me.
