My self-summary
What makes one want to click a profile? Good question... Hmm. Well, I'm a kind, caring person, who is a great listener. Looking for someone to share interests with; someone with whom I can have great conversations. I like to watch movies, read novels, travel and take photographs, listen to various genres of music, write on occasion, and ... play video games (laughs).

...Heh, I really cannot think of much else to put in a self-summary. Take a look for a more in-depth look into "self". =)

I am Caring, Kind-hearted, and Inquisitive
What I’m doing with my life
What am I doing with my life?

I'm working through things, while looking ahead to great things. I have many aspirations in life, and I am searching for opportunities constantly. I went to college for a Multimedia/Video Design degree, so that I can become a (3D) artist/animator. I'm hoping to be able to put what I've learned to good use at a Computer Technology-related corporation.

Some may loathe it, but I do enjoy desk jobs. =)

I like to volunteer some of my time to help out others or to help the community. Give to others as I have been given, so I say!

I've come back from a month-long trip to Japan in (2008) June, for my birthday, and I had a great time while I was over there. I'd never been there before, but I was pretty excited about it before I left, and it exceeded my expectations in every aspect! I was very impressed with the culture, scenery, and people, and also was pleasantly surprised how good the food is there, be it local or not. It was my first time really being out of the country, too (if you discount traveling *barely* across the borders of both Canada and Mexico). I took around ten thousand (!) photographs while I was there; Japan has some really amazing scenery!

I'm planning on going back to Japan at around August (2010), and I'm already excited about all the opportunities, there, for exploring and photography!

I've also just returned from a trip to England, for the first time, back in January. That was a lot of fun, and I was able to take many, many photographs while I was there, too!
I’m really good at
If it has a monitor and a power source, chances are I'm pretty knowledgeable about it. I've been using computers for as long as I can remember.

(Are good Grammatical skills considered something to be "really good at"?)

Researching and figuring/solving things out for own personal interest and/or gain. I love to learn. I do believe in the phrase: "You learn something new every day."

Reading. I always love a good novel or three.

Writing. When I'm in the mood to do so, I like to write. A lot. But a greater percentage of the time, I am in a perpetual state of writers' block. =\ Woe is me.

(Perhaps it's just from my own perspective, but,) I'm a(n) (amateur) photographer, when my own interest permits. Whenever I travel, which is usually on vacations, I love to take photographs of everything: scenery, wildlife, inanimate objects, architectural structures, etc. On one trip to Arizona/Nevada, I remember taking ~1,000 photographs in one visit (about 5 or 6 days), and around ten thousand (!) photographs in a month-long trip to Japan for my birthday. I am so looking forward to going again next year (2010). Also, just returning from England, I took 8,000 (!!) photographs in 10 days (what's up with that?!)!

Well, I'll add more things to this section if I can think of them...
The first things people usually notice about me
I do honestly think the first thing a person would notice about me would be my demeanor. I'm somewhat quiet and can tend to be on the shy side. *shrug* At least I'm not that way once you actually get to know me. :D

What else...

Ah, yes... Of all things, another thing that'd be quite noticeable about myself would have to be my voice; it's deep, and oftentimes gravelly. I have (in my opinion) the annoying tendency to mumble, or half-mumble, when I talk. But, I'm pretty sure people get used to it fairly quickly (haha, thankfully!).

The way I dress, I would say, is most likely noticeable. I am usually seen wearing nearly the same outfit every day: bluejeans and a non-descript, black tee-shirt. My own fashion-beliefs are that comfort precedes all else. It might seem a bit bland to some, but I've grown quite fond of it.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Anne Rice series; Stephen King series; Brian Lumley series; and various (fictional) medical research, disaster, horror, and sci-fi/fantasy novels. I still have my old Calvin and Hobbes, A Far Side Collection, and Bizarro collections.

Movies: Mostly, I'd have to say, would be Horror, Suspense, Thriller, and Drama genres. But, I'd say my favorite ones from those genres (in no real order) are: Jacob's Ladder/Dante's Inferno, Fight Club, Cube, Léon the Professional, Butterfly Effect, Thank You for Smoking, Interview with the Vampire, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Se7en, 1408, Cloverfield, Iron Man, Michael Clayton, Mr. Brooks, Memento, Casino Royale, Reservoir Dogs, Sunshine, V for Vendetta, 28 Days Later, 28 Weeks Later, Memoirs of a Geisha, The Dark Knight, The Prestige, The Invasion, The Devil's Rejects, A Scanner Darkly, Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, Run Lola Run, The Mist, The Machinist.

Music: Adam Freeland, Akira Yamaoka, Beck, Bonobo, The Chemical Brothers, Coldcut (not to be confused with Coldplay), Cornelius, Giuseppe Verde, Gaetano Donizetti, Giacomo Puccini, LEN, Louis Armstrong, Moby, Mozart, Salina Saliva, Sphongle, and Venetian Snares/Venetian Snares + Speedranch.

Food: Lasagna, Pepperoni and Pineapple Pizza, Italian Wedding Soup, Hot Fudge Cake, Turkey Wild Rice Soup, The Classic PB&J.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Ah... That's a tough one... What am I willing to disclose, to the community of OkCupid! in its entirety, about myself?

I originally joined this site for the matching questions and tests, but have now decided to seek abroad for a significant other and/or someone to hang out with, pass the time, and generally goof off. I guess now I'm taking this site a bit more seriously than I had before. Go figure, huh?

Anything of a more private or serious nature would be best discussed personally.
