I'm an aspiring one-hit-wonder. Please look at my youtube page if you get the chance and listen to one of my songs :)
I'm a little eccentric - I unicycle, write music, love going for long runs while belting out whatever I'm listening to, I teach fitness classes (high intensity interval training and power yoga, mostly).
I'm an RA in the residence halls. I feel overwhelmed in a group of people unless I'm "leading" them, and being an RA lets me do that. I love helping people - I've had people come to me with anything from thinking a friend is suicidal to relationship problems to just wanting to talk about anything and everything. It's a hard job but it's been more rewarding than I could ever describe.
I probably exercise an excessive amount. Seriously. I teach 4 fitness classes a week, try to run about 10-15 miles a week, lift 3-6 times a week and swim about an hour and a half a week. And I usually spend about 2 hours a week on an elliptical studying - yea, that's how I study, on an elliptical.
I think that exercise is something everyone should do - you owe it to your body. I think it would be a terrible fate to have a mind that fully functions and a body that doesn't, because of your choices.
I don't take myself very seriously, unless I need to. I laugh at myself more than I criticize myself.
I truly believe in the power of positive thought. I used to be a very negative person and in a very negative point in my life - it was a very special friend of mine who mentioned it to me, and I made the change to be positive. You are in control of your happiness, don't hold yourself back.
