I am a shamelessly geeky, professional artist, former engineer who enjoys fiddling with electronic devices that have blinking lights on them. I'm big on reading, but go for large swaths of time without reading anything. I also enjoy using words like "swaths". And "plethora", that's a good one too. I like reading about science and related topics, am good with computers , watching heavily serialized TV series, like playing video games and all told am a pretty good stereotype.

I'm doing what I want to be doing. Yay! More specifically I work as a digital artist with a heavy bent on the technical side of the field.

I'm extremely good at getting carried away with random, semi-pointless discussion topics. I consider it a valuable life skill. And I can totally chew gum and walk at the same time. So I've got that going for me too!

That I appear to be quiet and reserved. Probably because I'm quiet and reserved.

Books: I'm in to Fantasy and Scifi in general... such as Dune, The Hitchhikers Trilogy, the Discworld series (especially Small Gods and Thief of Time) and lots of other random stuff.

Movies: Anything Miyazaki especially Howl's Moving Castle, Dark City, The Fifth Element, Serenity, V for Vendetta, the even Star Trek movies, anything Pixar but Ratatouille especially (ahhh, digital Paris), Juno, Thank You for Smoking, Serenity, original Star Wars trilogy, the LOTR trilogy, Life of Brian, Kill Bill(s), Serenity

Music: I'm all over the place with music, but recently there's been some Bjork, Moby (but only the calmer ones), some random folky independent stuff, a steady stream of movie soundtracks and a judicious helping of Jonathan Coulton.

Food: Plain cheese pizza purchased from a non-chain store within a 100mi radius of NYC (not so easy from here). Some good Indian or Japanese food will do though. Mmm... curry...

TV Shows (bonus!): Lost, House, anything from Joss Whedon (especially Firefly), Pushing Daisies, The Simpsons (pre-season 8), Futurama, Farscape, Dead Like Me, Arrested Development, Babylon 5, Doctor Who...

Too many things to list! I find myself thinking about a wide variety of subjects. I'm also easily distracted by such things. Sometimes I consider it a liabioh look a shiny object! But, uh, science, philosophy, politics, mathematics of wanton burrito meals... it's all good.

Hanging out and watching TV or a movie. Or several movies. Not at the same time, though. That's just silly!

When no one can hear me, I sing. With gusto.

If you know how to pronounce my username. Because I'm not really sure how and I could use some help. I think it's like "kark" or something.
