Ἑαυτὸν τιμωρούμενος

Trying to make the best of my go-round on this beautiful, pale blue dot that's just a-floating round the sun.

I don't have superpowers, but I'm working on it.

I sort of label myself as well under 30 and my goal is to stay here as long as I can.

I am somehow a self-deprecating narcissist and a misanthropic humanist.

Reading too much for grad school

I regularly listen to all kinds of music except electronic/techno stuff. The heaviest of metals: King Diamond/Mercyful Fate, Overkill, Nile, Kreator, and the like.

Currently jamming a lot of Jonathan Richman, Merle Haggard, and Ween. Also, Taylor Swift's new album has been in heavy rotation.

TV wise, I dig the first 10 seasons of the Simpsons, HIMYM, New Girl, Arrested Development, Mr. Show, Upright Citizens Brigade, and other things along those lines.

Food rules

I don't usually watch movies, but when I do I prefer comedies. Also, anything with W.C. Fields, Buster Keaton, or Charlie Chaplin.

Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why can't I walk into a grocery store and buy what I need with my good looks?

Why the 10-key layout and the telephone keypad aren't the same.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Wallowing in my own crapulence or attempting to strengthen my tolerance for metabolizing ethanol.

I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have broken the sound barrier, but you must never ask me how.

I'm not a private person, feel free to ask.
