My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
On the lookout for summer romance.

I'm definitely a strong-willed person, in the sense that when I know what I want I go and get it (if that means you, better watch out!) So what do I want? To enjoy life, to enjoy the company of people, to learn greatly. Also a lot of other things.

When it comes to a philosophy of life, I believe that one of the greatest aims of any life is just to be experienced fully. It seems to me that you can never experience anything fully if you are rushing or overstimulated. A small pleasure, to a relaxed and open mind, is much grander than a large pleasure to a constrained mind.

I am, to different degrees, a sensualist, an aesthete, a democrat (not in the party sense), a Freudian, and a Confucian. I don't know if any of that is meaningful, but at least it's conversation material.

Also, or so I hear, people care a lot more about their own dating profiles than any prospective date does. That's my excuse for this lazy profile.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
College! And menial work. And the life of an untried bohemian intellectual-at-large.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm hilarious.

When it comes to all the arts, I hate to restrict myself to one time period. I roam free as the wildebeest.

Music: I'm a devotee of Joni Mitchell. I also completely adore Nina Simone, Brian Eno, Billie Holiday, and the many pop songs of the 60's.

Film: Kurosawa is my man. As runners up, I'm still working through the oeuvres of Fellini and Hitchcock. Note: when it comes to films, I am actually literally a snob about contemporary films. Although I did like Inherent Vice.

Books: I'm drowning in literary splendour. How do I love thee, let me count the titles. I guess the notables are Northrop Frye, Ruskin, Thomas Hardy, Margaret Avison, Yasunari Kawabata... man, if you're into this stuff, just message me, I could chat for days.
